Weld County Regional SWAT Team Assists Windsor Police Department with Search Warrant

For transparency, on March 10, 2026 the Weld County Regional SWAT team assisted the Windsor Police Dept. by serving a search warrant in the 400 block of 14th Street in Windsor. The SWAT team also requested the assistance of the Greeley/Weld County Bomb Squad.

The suspect, Michael Fuog, was later arrested by the Windsor PD on suspicion of possession of any explosive or incendiary device parts. @windsorgovpd has issued a press release regarding the details of their investigation on their social media platforms: https://t.co/Kt2wn91AHs.

All charges are merely accusations, and a defendant is presumed innocent until, or unless proven guilty in a court of law.

School Bus Driver Arrested for Sexual Assault

A school bus driver in Lakewood has been arrested for suspicion of felony sexual assault. On 3/4/26, Lakewood Police were made aware of a possible sexual assault involving a Jefferson County Schools bus driver. The 10-year-old victim in this case reported that their bus driver, later identified as 64-year-old Robert Charles Watters (DOB 05/29/1961), was engaging in an inappropriate relationship with them. An investigation by the Lakewood Police Department was immediately initiated.

On 3/12/26, Mr. Watters turned himself into Lakewood Police. He was arrested on suspicion of committing Sexual Assault on a Child – Pattern and Position of Trust. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County jail. A photo of Mr. Watters accompanies this release.

Mr. Watters has worked as a bus driver for Jeffco Public Schools since 2018 and has been driving Hutchinson Elementary students on the C-49 bus route from 2021-2023 and the C-31 bus route since August 2023.

Traffic stop results in arrests and the seizure of illegal drugs! On Tuesday, March 10, 2026 just after pm a Broomfield Patrol Officer conducted a traffic stop near W. 136th Avenue and Zuni Street.
During the stop, Officers discovered the vehicle was being used for drug distribution.

Officers also noticed the center console was loose. When they searched underneath it, they found more than 25 grams of methamphetamine concealed inside the vehicle.

The 46-year-old female driver was arrested and booked into the Broomfield Detention Center on several charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Fraud – Criminal Possession of a Financial Device.

The 32-year-old male passenger was also booked into the detention center on two outstanding warrants along with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Criminal Impersonation, among other charges.

Great work by Broomfield officers for helping keep dangerous drugs off our streets and out of our community. 🚔 *All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
