@SmittyisNo1@KEEMSTAR Or hear me out, because the person they picked is on the same level as Taylor Swift. Bad Bunny fans don't play just bc you never heard of him.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 I do mostly agree with your last reply, which is why i think it should be optional like it used to be. Being able to choose rather to have it or not is what i like about previous gen's key items.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 Time investment doesn't mean its hard, i doubt you would say egg hatching or berry gathering are hard things to do, you get rewarded for doing such after a lot of time investment.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 We're branching from the og point, what you're saying is why i say xp share doesn't make the games easier&supports the og QTs point. Xp share simply just makes getting a specific Pokemon from one level to another w/ less menuing, Magikarp is the best example to why xp share exist
@MythicMephisto @lemondeer_ That being a possibility is WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. How did you type that out&not understand why they're trying to take a stand. There shouldnt be armed militias in our streets that "don't know better." Get that "liberal" talk outta here, this is beyond manufactured culture wars.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 You not noticing the effects your evs do, is not the same as them not being relevant.
And you don't need to grind, but grinding lowers your chances of whiting out. And Pokemon Already balances itself with grinding through reducing your xp gain, that also affects Xp share.
@nikkuhatsune @Yoshiware2 If u dont swap ur mons, then yeah, bc ur main Mon would get all the xp, that ur other mons couldve gotten. Xp share just kinda eases the constant swapping back and forth during and out of battles so all your mon gets xp. The battles would still be the same for you w/o xp share.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 So you never lost a single Pokemon battle, and none of your Pokemon died before from non-affiliates moves?
Grinding evs is no different from grinding levels, bc you need levels to get your evs you grinded for. Which if either is wrong to do, then my original point stands.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 EVs make a bigger deal than you think in mid game. Ofc can be ignored, but a trainer/gym fight can go from "shi if it crit i would've won" or "x pokemon would be alive if it crit" vs "this gonna KO in one shot" or it only takes 2hits instead of 3. Saves pp for low pp moves too.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 Again. Didn't say they don't mean anything, you're lvl still matters in terms of your health, and you can gain the Evs you trained for through leveling up. Lvls mean something, but your lvl 23 Pikachu is more likely to beat a lvl 25 Pikachu if you have way higher speATK& speDef.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 Pokรฉmon already have a failsafe for max leveling, you lose out on your Pokรฉmon listening to you. So you're still locked in on specific level caps. If someone was using share xp the way you're saying, they literally make the game even harder as it becomes a full gamble in fights.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 That's just taking my point to an extreme, thats not remotely what xp share is doing. Anyone can overlevel themselves, just bc it takes one person less time than the other, doesnt mean either is harder or easier. They both still have to face the same opponents with same skillset.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 Also to add, EVs/IVs are more important than the level itself, not by a significant amount but enough where Exp share takes away parts of team building with the trade off of less grinding time.
@PinClock@Yoshiware2 More exp just means less time grinding, if you were to cap yourself at the level of your next gym, with no exp share, you'd have the same "difficulty" fighting that leader as someone using Exp share. The only difference they'd just be at the fight a little faster.
@ShadowFoxArche People always had issues with Sony and Microsoft needing to download Disc games. But the reason Nintendo gets it more, is bc you need internet to download, while yes PS/Xbox still need to download, you don't need internet to download games from disc.
@Eviltrkeyslice@Yoshiware2 Really all they have to do is let you turn it off in your key item bag like in X/Y. It's odd they decided to not keep it that way.
@cyan_hue It used to be, I believe X/Y had it toggled in the key items menu. Which i loved when I played them one playthrough exp share, the other no exp share.
