#InternationalWomensDay is a time time celebrate women and highlight the unacceptable #gendergap—but that’s not enough.

The time to wait for concessions has long passed.

We must demand a truly equitable society, for women, as well as all other other marginalised groups.

@Charleygirlboo_ Of course, and it’s shameful that these people leverage it for shallow and hateful ends. However, we set this up to organise and work on direct action, to help IRL, and the tag—while flawed—is one good way to build up our numbers, which is essential for any actions.

@Charleygirlboo_ Any movement for change, however, must focus on intersectional oppression as a primary goal, not just economic reform, or environmentalism, or peace.

@isthatdavidp Socialism and democracy aren’t opposed. Democratic socialism is the general standard. Capitalism is inherently exploitative, so it can never lead to a truly equitable society.
