"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. So His fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them" - Matthew 4:23-24
We still serve a willing and healing God. Cast all your burdens upon Him and trust Him to heal you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
"Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life, for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice, that he should live on forever and never see the pit" - Psalm 49:7-9 ESV
The Runyankore Bible captures it even better: "Tihariho n'omwe aharibo orikubaasa kucungura mwene ishe, n'obu kwakuba okuha Ruhanga eky'okumucungura, ngu abone kugumaho ebiro byona, atafiire akajunda. Ahakuba okucungura amagara gaabo n'okw'obuguzi bwingi, tikushemereire kwehangwa."
It's a sobering reminder of our mortality and most of all the need to be humble and surrender our lives to the Cornerstone. For there is salvation in no one else, and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved EXCEPT the name of JESUS CHRIST.
@magombe_joshua@MrDriveUganda Toyota Rumion is a very good car especially if you are a city resident who drives on tarmac. If you have the money, buy that car, you will not regret it.
Today I'm here to celebrate the goodness of the Lord. Israel's survival in the time of Moses was due to God's steadfast love. Hundreds of years later, we are more rebellious than the children of Israel but God has not changed and His steadfast love continues to sustain us.
That's why I echo the cry of the Psalmist: bless the Lord oh my soul. For His faithfulness. For constantly forgiving our sins. For His quintessential, unmatched goodness. He made a covenant with Abraham. A covenant of love with benefits that stretch from generation to generation.
God is holy yet this Holy God continues to sustain us with the breath of life. We whose righteousness is like filthy rags. The breath He breathed into our nostrils after forming us from the dust of the ground can be withdrawn anytime and we would be helpless but He is a God of compassion.
He forgives our sins, iniquities and transgressions daily thereby redeeming our lives from the pit of hell. Like the children of Israel bowed down to a golden calf that Aaron had made, we bow down to modern idols of all forms but the Lord's anger has not blazed against us. His mercies are new and fresh every morning.
I shudder thinking how we continuously provoke the Lord not only with sin but also through lukewarm worship. Unstable in our Christian walk like a reed tossed about by the wind. Slow to get angry and abounding in love, the Lord has given us the Holy Spirit to teach us His ways.
So good is the Lord that He does not deal with us according to our sins nor repay us according to our iniquities. "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the East is from the West, so far does He remove our transgressions from us" (Psalm 103:11-13 ESV)
Oh I bless the Lord. Everyday I witness Your awesome power operating in our midst. You healed my diseases and restored my spiritual strength when I backslid. Yousatisfy me with goodness and renews my youth like the eagle's.
To the weary, you have reason to look beyond the hills where help comes from. It comes from the Lord. As Prophet Isaiah succinctly puts it, "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they walk and not faint."
