In the past few months it has gone from my favorite social platform and the place to see things AS they happen.
To pushing the Babylon bee and MTG
these things are being pushed into my once carefully catered feed.
And this platform has turned into facebook.
Twitter is kinda done for me.
Why?
Example this week, the Brazil insurrection, and I found out about from coworkers in the office the next day.
I was on twitter that day and all I saw was vax misinformation about Damar and tweets from hard right people that I’ve had muted.
@csblakemore@WbtphdjdTurner Okc would need mixed use zoning and do away with single family zoning before it would be even feasible.
I miss okc but wow do I love living in NYC.
Counting the two cars we had now going to rent it’s actually cheaper to live here than it was in Charlotte.
Nearly 2 years to the day the US Capitol was attacked by fascists, we see fascist movements abroad attempt to do the same in Brazil.
We must stand in solidarity with @LulaOficial’s democratically elected government. 🇧🇷
The US must cease granting refuge to Bolsonaro in Florida.
Advice I got early in my career: Don’t over engage in any controversy unless you are willing to stake your entire reputation on it. Rather, keep focused on discovering new things & creating, or else you become known for the controversy & nothing else; there is no going back.
@BradyShearer Ive always been hesitant to follow that guy nuance seems lost on him
Average church is 90 people
DONT SPEND 10K ON LIVE STREAM
invest in small group discipleship instead
However if you have it just posting it as is does nothing if its not intentionally crafted for the platform
If Jesus spent 8 hrs a day, every day, for 3 years w/his disciples, he would have spent over 8,000 hours w/them. And after all that time, they still had major gaps.
1 hour a week on Sunday will never change people.
We need a life that abides in him, with the support of others.
