Sculpting audio excellence, one layer at a time!
3D Printable Print-It-Yourself Kits and guides of our custom-designed line-up are available in our store π
@Hoodbilly_Rolla Iβve been helping a few kids 3D print violins. The punks got so good at printing they passed like I was parked. They are now helping me finalize my violin. The violin we modified with Ebony fingerboards was designed by Jax - The Dragon
There is a tiny sealing issue on the rear baffle of the FDMDuos. We've fixed it with a 2-part custom foam gasket. Made by yours truly using a hybrid metal and FDM construction technique. Bending those ruled blades to shape was "fun." Press gets in Wednesday!

Proud to support Team Polar and TU/e with large-scale 3D printed TPU tires for the Gentoo Antarctic rover βοΈ
Produced using our ABB robot and CEAD pellet extrusion system.
@DrGuitar I was just in the speaker area of Long and McQuade picking up cab cord. If you need a pair of Studio monitors check out @DepositionSound . Just about any 3D printer will make the box while your components are shipped. Rival big brands & you made em
Here is #Stitch, printed on the @BambulabGlobal#H2C in six colors, in all his glory! Is he perfect? Not by any means. There are layer lines. There is a line from where the delay occurred. Oddly, there are some spots where the PETG Iused for support interface got embedded in the print because the printer used it for infill (anyone know how to prevent that?). Some of the supports didnβt work in the mouth, so a couple of the teeth are not fully-formed.
And worst of all, the last spool of @Overture3D Grey Blue PLA I bought was a darker shade, so thereβs an obvious color change in the head.
But I have some notes for the next time I try this print:
1. Use variable layer height.
2. Use clear PETG for support interfaces, that way if bits get stuck, they wonβt be so obvious.
3. Paint on more support for the teeth.
And most of all:
4 Buy more filament at the same time up front, to get it all from the same batch.
74 seconds to print a 3D Benchy! π’
Someone just printed a 3D Benchy in 74 seconds!
For context: Benchy is the standard benchmark for 3D printing quality.
Getting it done in 74 seconds required pushing every variable to its limit.
Pulley and belt systems optimized for minimal slop, machine rigidity improvements to eliminate flex under high acceleration, input shaping to cancel out resonance frequencies that cause ringing artifacts at high speeds.
A 3D scanner to analyze print quality objectively. Frequency analysis to identify and cancel specific resonance modes in the frame and motion system.
