The fact these scumbags could only get their hands on a shotgun and a single shot rifle clearly saved dozens of lives.
Anyone who doesn’t see that is a fool. Like this guy.
Every council election there should be an equal group option that is “abolish councils” and if it hits enough votes the entire pile of bullshit is folded up and handed to the states where it belongs
@StrewthQueen @Skankhunt433307 1. Australian tax residency doesn’t depend on permanent residence / citizenship. Pretty much everyone who stays here for more than 6 months is a tax resident.
@SteveWoosnam @VeryInsig @WhiteRabbitIA@rationalaussie What world do you live in? Have you even looked at the median wage and a mortgage calculator? Just do the math yourself. Willfull ignorance.
@tyler21012@BBCBreaking What do you think the good qualities of social media are? I honestly cant think of any. I think there are benefits to gaming as long as it’s regulated / limited.
@tyler21012@BBCBreaking Like alcohol, it seems self-evident that it’s bad for children. Relying on parents to regulate would just mean that kids with bad parents would suffer. You obviously couldn’t ban the whole internet, but strong regulation of gaming / social media / porn would be a good thing.
@tyler21012@BBCBreaking Honestly, outside of strictly controlled environments like the classroom, that’s probably a good idea. I think the negatives of addiction and social maldevelopment easily outweigh the positive aspects.
@tyler21012@BBCBreaking I agree in principle, but it’s hard for parents to restrict their children’s use of social media when every other kid is on it. It’s like saying that consumption alcohol should be a parental decision - it’s impossible for parents to regulate their children 24/7.
@jmrowie@rationalaussie True, it’s a choice. But one that most people won’t take, and one that will eventually force big business and jobs out of Sydney to less hostile cities like Melbourne and Brisbane. On its current trajectory, I can see Sydney going the same way as San Francisco.
@Just_Westy@rationalaussie I’m complaining because the supply/demand has been broken by NIMBYism, negative gearing and bureaucratic inefficiency. I need to work in the city because there aren’t any jobs outside the city that pay enough to pay a mortgage.
@Just_Westy@rationalaussie I think it’s an hour and half from penrith to town hall, and you’d need to do that twice a day. That’s where I’m getting 3 hours from. If there was a direct high speed train, living out west would be great!
