Waste Processing capacity:
> Jan 2025: 6K Tonnes/day
> Aug 2026: 30K Tonnes/day

Environment minister Manjinder S Sirsa has promised that this blot of Delhi will get "EXTINCT like Dinosaurs" by 2028🔥

A total of 8.868 million MT of waste has so far undergone biomining and bioremediation at the site.

> 1.5 million MT of waste, generated over the past one and a half years, is targeted to be cleared by October 2026.

Around 70-75% of the processed material is inert.

India just built its first indigenous photonic radar, a completely different way of seeing the sky 🇮🇳

Regular AESA radars use radio-frequency electronics. Photonic radar uses light instead, lasers, photonic circuits, optical processors.

Why that matters 👇

Wider bandwidth signals, much less noise, sharper accuracy than traditional radar.

DRDO's LRDE built this with private sector help, and it's now moving into multi-platform testing.

This isn't quantum radar yet, that's still a longer-term goal. But photonic tech is the real stepping stone toward it.

Same lab that built the GaN-based Virupaksha radar is now pushing into light-based sensing next 🇮🇳
