@jamesmurray_ldn@ollywainwright Germany was aways a sensible country. Nederlands too has rent control. Rents can go up no more than the rate of inflation. If you think you pay too much rent you can within 6 months of renting an apartment challenge the rent legally. Rent for lower incomes is subsided.

@thomholbrook Great idea, cuts air pollution, but all the profit will go to Europe. Just as we sold our stake in Eurostar, as it was starting to make a profit, to the French and Belge they keep the money!
