@SantaMonicaPD We appreciate the dialog and are happy to see that crime in the first quarter is down, however, over the last week we’ve become very concerned as parents about the level of violent crime in the neighborhood, as well as the visible drug use by the homeless at our local park.

@SantaMonicaPD Social media is not our preferred method of communication either, however the officer we asked about the incident at the Park said “there was nothing on the scanner” which, while technically true as the suspect was being chased by LAPD, was far from transparent. Thank you.
