Yes Ma’am, this is replied not from bankers but from family of bankers , people who are surrounded with bankers in society & colony & obviously from customers who are using various alternatives channels, digital banking & door step banking for KYCs updation once in 8-10 years & submitting Life Certificate once in a year within sufficient time through any mode, and many priorities works. Of course, it is similar experience when you plan to catch trains/buses or you wait for opening of Markets on Monday or or you wait for your cases date or you plan to visit hospital as per availability of doctors. Similarly, bankers need official leave on Saturday for their personal needs, for some exigencies works for families, for work life balance to give better services & productivity, etc. FYI, still today officers of banks have time to reach branch at 10 AM but they can’t leave branches before 7-8 PM & even they are going to office on holidays/Saturday/Sunday. It is easy to raise questions on holidays of bankers because it is only services sectors which are constantly working their works without any discrimination & complaints and where your money is safer only. #5DaysBanking is need of hour for many positive things rather than opposing it for very few personal desires & convenience.

Public Sector Banks, despite always being neglected, remain the backbone of our economy.
There has been a manifold increase in the staff of private banks and a huge reduction in PSBs.
There should be proper restoration in PSBs also.
