I've been using GPT-6 Astra for a couple of days on the $100 Pro plan, and a few things stood out pretty quickly.
The allowance burns through much faster than I expected. I've already had to use two resets. Looking it up, that tracks. OpenAI rates Astra at about half the messages of Sol in the same window, and it costs 2.5× more in credits. On the $100 Pro tier you also only get 50 Pro model messages a week, shared with Sol Pro, so if you're leaning on Astra a lot you're eating into the same weekly pool you'd want for everything else.
The other thing is how often it reaches for computer use with a mouse, even when a normal CLI command would do the job. That path is slower, and because it's heavy on screenshots it chews through tokens much harder. I ended up having to tell it to stop and stick to the terminal. Oddly enough, OpenAI's own API docs say the same thing. For Astra they recommend code execution over the click and screenshot loop. So… I appreciate the improvements, especially with design, but at what cost.
Been using the Dyson CameraJet a few days.
Auto mode with mouthwash is wasteful. Not impressed.
The brushing though? Lovely. Latest update also fixed the camera on iOS.
My workaround: fill the tank with water, hold the floss button, run it over my teeth with no brush head. Ends up as three tools in one. Great brush, decent flosser, camera that shows you where to focus. Just not all at once. Doing wash + floss while watching the feed is a mess. Mouthwash everywhere.
@Dyson fix the camera feed rotation, and let me use the camera with guided brushing.
10/ I just love being able to turn almost anything into a genuinely personal sticker pack in a couple of minutes.
Now I just need @OpenAI to give us a proper sticker library with delete, reorder and sync. 😉
ChatGPT @ChatGPT added Stickers and I think this might be one of my favourite recent additions.
You can turn people, pets, characters, inside jokes or basically anything into sticker packs you can use in iMessage and WhatsApp.
I’ve been playing with it, so here’s how it actually works 🧵
9/ So generate and refine the pack first. Only hit Add to iMessage once you’re happy with it.
Because right now importing is very easy, but managing what you’ve imported is basically nonexistent.
Still, I absolutely love the feature.
I gotta say, I love ChatGPT work because it has allowed me to keep building while running cross platform analysis and research focusing on the things I love - being creative. I’ve been able to visualize dashboards while debugging issues all from the same place, and in one place!
Scent Journal Mac app is out! Built using @glazeapp and Codex. Ran through all credits, because I’m too specific and kept getting more and more ideas, but now I can finally track, log and manage all my fragrances, and create images what I’m wearing today. https://t.co/1nILPsNnul
@thomaspaulmann@glazeapp Thanks so much 🫶🏻 Such a hard question, I’d have to go with Born to stand out Purple Stain, it just makes me feel things. What about you?
Here’s a quick preview, but even since I made this video (using ShotGlass by @JakeManger) I’ve already added so many more features and design polish. P.S. It even had a toolbar app for quickly logging your daily choice.
