Fr-1 trainees from Assam Forest School, Jalukbari @AFS_Assam visited Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary & Biodiversity Park (Sahitya Manishi Upaban).

Later, hands on training on M-STrIPES application was given to them.

The forest officials & staff under Jorhat Range dismantled & seized one illegal band saw mill today from Jugibheta area & brought into departmental custody. The drive against illegal band saw continues under Jorhat Forest Division @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @assamforest @mkyadava

Yesterday night at around 1:00 AM information about a barking deer was received from Rajamaidam area. Forest Department responded quickly & rescued it within an hour. It was released later in Hollongapar Gibbon WLS at 2:30 AM

An awareness program on Human-Elephant conflict & the Do's and Don'ts during elephant depredation was organized on 5th & 6th November in Mariani. Pamphlets were distributed and announcements were made in areas with high elephant depredation.
