MoJ ordered Courtsdesk to “pause deletion” last night after backlash. They're now in talks for a new licence + expanding official court portal by March.

Not "erasing the evidence forever":
Original Court records still exist in an individual courts(MoJ doesn’t have a single centralised copy anyway).

The MoJ is not destroying its own internal data, just ending this 3rd party compiled, easy-to-search option.
