BIG NEWS 🚨 Thailand and Cambodia are clashing over a 1000-year-old Hindu temple and disputed land.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva & is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Though the International Court of Justice gave it to Cambodia in 1962, Thailand still objects.
So far, 10 civilians and several soldiers have died.
Thailand has deployed F-16 jets. The situation is tense and volatile.
Earlier, Thaksin Shinawatra delivered a statement with a warlike tone aimed at teaching a lesson to Hun Sen. Thaksin’s remarks further underscore Thailand’s military aggression toward Cambodia.
I am not surprised by Thaksin’s attitude toward me, because he has even betrayed the Thai King, as well as members of his own party. What is worse is that he was involved in the killing of hundreds of Thai Muslims in the southern provinces in 2004. Now, under the pretext of taking revenge on Hun Sen, he is resorting to war, the ultimate consequence of which will be the suffering of the people.
Images have emerged of the shocking aggression of Thailand, which wilfully shelled and destroyed a Cambodian monastery, injuring many and killing a religious leader.
