🚨ICE car crash kills beloved Savannah teacher, Linda Davis

On Monday, February 16, ICE agents operating in Savannah targeted a Latino driver, reportedly identified as Oscar Lopez, and initiated a vehicle pursuit. The chase ended in a crash that killed Linda Davis, a beloved Savannah school teacher.

ICE’s reckless and unnecessary escalation created a deadly situation with little regard for the safety of local residents. The responsibility for this tragedy lies with the agency that initiated the pursuit. We demand immediate answers, a full independent investigation, and the public release of all available footage related to today's horrific incident.

This death did not happen in isolation. As long as ICE is allowea to operate with impunity in our communities, more lives will be put at risk.

The deaths of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and now Linda Davis demonstrate a dangerous pattern of enforcement tactics that endanger the public.

Communities have successfully fought back before. In Minnesota, mass mobilization forced ICE and the Trump administration to halt Operation Metro Surge by disrupting business as usual. When ordinary people unite and organize, we can push back against ICE terror.

Immigrants are not criminals; they are our neighbors, coworkers, friends and family. Immigrants are not invading our communities — ICE is.
