NEW: Anthropic is now eying a $2 trillion IPO, potentially the largest of all time.
At the same time the company is trying to shield itself from responsibility by saying its AI agents are autonomous, even sentient.
We investigated Dario Amodei, the man behind the curtain.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani has announced a $30 million investment in an NYU quantum lab, and in exchange for the investment from the city the university will give 15% of all profits back to the city.
This deal, the first of its kind secured in NYC history, will ensure that public investment actually gets generates wealth for public usage.
It's an important break from the public subsidizing the private sector, while a few private individuals reap the profits.

The Wall Street Journal wants you to believe that rent stabilized apartments are sitting vacant because landlords can’t afford to repair apartments.
The truth is that these landlords delay repairs for years and decades, and are now trying to force New York to let them rent at market value so they can make more money.
We broke it down.
Colby has done fantastic work drilling down into the numbers on PBC’s purchase of Israel Bonds from a completely neutral “is this sound investment policy?” standpoint. This is a great thread
Tonight Matt Gaetz featured the Israel Bonds scandal out of Palm Beach on his show.
This afternoon a new lawsuit against Gaetz dropped from 2 woman accusing him of “sex trafficking” dropped.
The whole honeypot scam was orchestrated by Joel Greenberg (who TMZ chose to call by his middle name in their coverage)- who at the time was the Seminole County Tax collector and therefore in charge of issuing state IDs- after he helped these “girls” steal the identities of residents who had had come into Greenberg’s office to renew their licenses.
Greenberg pretended to make a mistake on the license, and said he needed to make a new another one- he then took the discarded one, put the picture of the underage girl on it instead- and badda-bing badda-boom they were now of age according to their very real Florida state IDs. Matt Gaetz had no clue until Joel was arrested on other charges and tried to weasel his way out by saying he could give the DOJ a congressman on a silver platter.
After the DOJ learned the whole story they declined to prosecute since the “victims” in the case were literally committing identity theft, a felony, and the accused (Gaetz) had no way of knowing what their real ages were. (Which, by the way, they turned 18 just 3 months after first meeting Gaetz)
See how these honeypot schemes work? See how they can follow you around for years? See how they seem to always pop up at the most convenient times for Israel? None of that is coincidence.
In February 2025 Candiru was acquired by Integrity Partners, an investment fund founded in 2021. This purchase allowed Candiru to circumvent the sanctions it was under after being placed on the US sanctions list by the Biden administration.
In 2022 Integrity Partners also tried to purchase NSO Group, the Israeli tech firm responsible for the Pegasus spyware. That deal ultimately fell through.
But at the time we learned that founders of Integrity Partners, Chris Gaertner and Elad Yoran, are "former American soldiers" who both went to West Point and have strong ties with the administration officials and the Pentagon.
So the question becomes, why are these retired American servicemen so interested in buying Israeli tech companies that have been sanctioned by the US government and helping them to avoid the consequences of their actions?
An excellent thread on the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, and a welcome corrective to some of the historical revisionism now in fashion.
Hitler’s invasion of Poland, Munich, Stalin’s calculations and the failure of collective security all deserve serious examination, but history is complicated enough without rewriting it to suit the political prejudices of the present.
Fox News' Rachel Campos-Duffy tells Brian Kilmeade that Boris Johnson helped sabotage the Istanbul peace talks between Ukraine and Russia in April 2022. She's 100% accurate. Ukrainian officials have confirmed it.
With the exception of when Tucker Carlson still had a Fox News show, this might be the only time this critical incident has ever been mentioned on any of the cable news networks. It's still memory-holed on MSNOW and CNN, along with the major newspapers.
Asked about the Iran War's effect on defense stocks, Lockheed Martin CEO says: "Investors need to know and understand that this demand is not fleeting — it's permanent."
For those in the back, longtermists DO NOT care about future people. They don't even care about the long-term future itself. These are lies they spread to make their view sound exponentially more reasonable than it actually is. I explain here: https://t.co/AwxA99OdW1
So many of you asked me to look into ClipIt, the company paying people by the view to post political clips. I did, and it connects to Israel’s $55.5 million American campaign, Trump’s former campaign manager, Turning Point and the operatives working for the Speaker of the House.
A few highlights are below, and the full article with receipts is up on Substack now (link in bio, and it’s free).
(1) The man who runs ClipIt goes by “Matt Servius” online and has never been publicly named. Wyoming and Latvian records point to Matīss Tabūns, a 23-year-old in Talsi, Latvia, who formed ClipIt’s American company on May 28, 2025, with a one-dollar stake.
(2) Fourteen days later, on June 11, Brad Parscale formed Clock Tower X. It went on to register as Israel’s foreign agent.
(3) ClipIt’s own records label a campaign “Political” for December 14 to 21, the week of AmericaFest. In those same days, Clock Tower X took in $6 million from Israel.
(4) ClipIt’s campaigns kept Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson out of their clips. Israel’s campaign websites attacked both of them by name.
(5) Israel’s campaign made its own clip titled “Charlie Kirk,” and its contract appears written to collect repost rights to content made by outside influencers.
(6) Everyone keeps asking who paid. ClipIt paid its clippers from a $20 million crypto wallet that traces back to Stripe’s stablecoin system, and one clipper thanked the boss for his “Political Payout of December.” That means an American company has the name of whoever ordered the political payouts, and that record can be subpoenaed.
(7) ClipIt rewrote its terms the day before The Atlantic’s story ran. Then it changed its founding year and blocked visitors from the United States.
(8) Israel’s campaign sent $4.4 million for “media placement” to a firm run by Mike Shields. His other firm has been paid $2.98 million by Speaker Mike Johnson’s campaign.
(9) Parscale’s Israel firm uses the same Ohio office suite as his company’s White House contract.
(10) Turning Point denies working with ClipIt. But, it has paid Jake Hoffman’s firms millions a year, and Hoffman ran Turning Point’s 2020 teen troll farm. The attack operation on X reeks of Jake Hoffman's troll famrs

In 1943, millions of Indians died in the Bengal Famine under British colonial rule.
The famine struck at the height of WWII, and the British government was more concerned with its war effort than feeding starving Indians it considered expendable.
Winston Churchill’s government rejected repeated appeals for greater food shipments while millions starved.
Imperial priorities took precedence over the lives of the very people Britain claimed the right to govern.
Think about the obscenity of it: Britain ruled India without its people’s consent, extracted wealth from the colony, controlled its resources and policies, and then failed to protect millions facing mass starvation.
Yet Churchill is celebrated in the West as a great defender of freedom and democracy.
The Bengal Famine exposes the hypocrisy at the heart of colonialism: an empire that claimed to defend civilization while denying its colonial subjects the most basic right of all—the right to live.
You cannot claim moral greatness for defending freedom abroad while presiding over mass suffering among the people you refuse to set free.
🧵Rappers For Regime Change: How the CIA Recruits Hip Hop Artists Around the World
Through its myriad of agencies, the United States government has recruited and groomed rappers from around the world to further its political interests. Washington has spent tens of millions of dollars funding, training, and promoting artists who foment public discontent, organize protests, and lead color revolutions in nations in its crosshairs.
Jesse Owens entered the 1936 Berlin Olympics with the world watching, but his greatest opponent was not simply on the track. Nazi Germany had turned the Games into a showcase for Adolf Hitler’s claims of Aryan racial superiority. Owens answered that propaganda with four gold medals.
Born James Cleveland Owens in Alabama in 1913, he moved with his family to Cleveland as part of the Great Migration. His athletic ability became obvious in high school, and at Ohio State University he reached another level. In 1935, at the Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor, Owens set three world records and tied another within roughly 45 minutes, a performance still regarded as one of the most remarkable stretches in track and field history.
At Berlin in 1936, he won the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and 4x100-meter relay. His long-jump victory was particularly memorable because German athlete Luz Long openly encouraged him during the competition. The two became friends despite the racial ideology surrounding the Games.
A popular story claims Hitler personally refused to shake Owens' hand. The reality is more complicated. Hitler stopped personally congratulating individual medalists after Olympic officials told him he would need to greet all winners or none. Owens later recalled that the treatment he received at home was deeply disappointing too. President Franklin D. Roosevelt did not invite him to the White House after his victories.
Owens returned to a segregated United States, where winning four Olympic gold medals did not protect him from racism or discrimination. His achievements exposed a painful contradiction: America celebrated his victories abroad while Black Americans continued fighting for basic equality at home.
Jesse Owens died in 1980 at age 66, but his legacy reaches far beyond four medals. He became one of the most powerful symbols of athletic excellence confronting racism on an international stage.
