WSJ Bestselling Book by @bp22 | A new and provocative philosophy as well as practical guide on how to get the most out of your money—and out of your life.
So happy that the message is spreading 5 years after releasing. Should have done it sooner but I'm sorta lazy 🤷🏾 #Diewithzero
PS what's up with British?

What are you postponing that might not wait?
A new article dives into the core idea behind Die With Zero, using money intentionally across your lifetime.

Too often financial planning starts with the assumption that you won’t have enough money in retirement. Fast Company personal finance writer Emily Guy Birken explains how a die with zero plan can help you feel both generous and abundant. https://t.co/hjLKDmG4ZL
This is a deep topic.
Your earning power is usually lower when young. There is a balance between how much you: 1, spend, 2, save, 3, invest (financially or in yourself).
The key is finding the near-optimal balance. The book "Die with Zero" goes into more detail on this topic.
Lmao of all books to rifle through and take off the shelves she picks @bp22’s Die With Zero.
Excellent choice, maybe a little too early for planning kiddo.
I don’t read many new books, but here are 3 I re-read every year:
1. Die with Zero by @bp22. Squandering your life is a lot more dangerous than squandering your money.
2. The Road Less Stupid by Keith Cunningham. Stop being busy, start thinking.
3. Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. An emotional intelligence book disguised as a negotiation book.
Your son makes $92K and just turned 40 in a rental apartment.
You have $5.1M collecting dust.
Explain that to me.
My client watched this happen for 3 years.
"I don't want to enable him."
Enable him to what? Own a home?
Stop bleeding $2,800/month in rent?
Give your grandkids their own bedrooms?
We finally structured a $225K gift last month.
Now his son owns a home. The grandkids have a yard. And he gets to hang out with his grandkids in a space they'll remember forever.
Your kids don't need your money at 65.
They need it at 35 when:
Houses cost $500K
Daycare is $2,400/month
Student loans are $87K
Hope is running out
Give them the inheritance while you're alive to see them use it.
Do yourself a favor and read Die With Zero! Why are we buying stocks and accumulating wealth? What's the point of it? Find your own answers and allocate your resources accordingly throughout your life. This book had the most impact on me, it really changed the way how I think about my life.
I learned this mindset when I read @DieWithZero.
Great book.
What's the point of dying with money in the bank? You can't take it with you.
In full support of giving inheritance to children when they actually need the money, not when they're living comfortably in their 50s.

@jackfriks I had a similar mentality but then I read this book called Die with Zero years ago and it shifted my primary focus from money itself to the actual experience of the life I'm trying to live
You should “Die with Zero.”
That’s the title of a book I’m listening to right now by Bill Perkins.
Never has a way of looking at finances resonated so much with me. 🧵
I read Die With Zero by Bill Perkins a couple years ago. It didn’t just nudge my thinking. It shattered it.
I’d followed the script: work, save, invest. But I never asked the deeper question: what was I saving for?
I'm super excited to start this book today. I watched a podcast with Bill Perkins @DieWithZero a few weeks ago, and it was by far the best one so far in 2025!!
No better way to enjoy last few weeks of the hot summer weather!! 📖🌞🏊♂️
