On 11 September 2024, at the launch of the Open Government Partnership's National Action Plan V, H.E. President William Ruto pledged to host the Global Trust Summit and provide a platform for governments, private sector, civil
Society and academia to offer ideas and develop strategies germane to shoring up trust in national and global governance institutions. In doing so, he set the foundation for a renewed national conversation on transparency, accountability and institutional excellence. Today's regulatory institutions consultative meeting marks the very first step toward the Global Trust Summit, offering an opportunity to deepen trust with one of the nation's primary custodians of public trust.
