@CigaretteCalpol I think they thus see trans peeps as having 'given in' to social pressure by deciding it's easier to change gender than fight the patriarchal structures that tell them how to behave. Ergo Trans women are merely appropriating and imitating. I get it, but I think logic is v flawed.

@CigaretteCalpol I think it also negates many rad fem arguments that 'gender' (as opposed to biological sex) is entirely socially constructed. Ergo you can't 'be' a women in your head but a man in body because that would imply gendered behaviours are somehow hard wired and thus inescapable.

@aliciakearns And I truly hope you're right in your conviction, I do. I WISH I could believe I'm wrong in mine. Sadly my academic/work background means I'm far too aware how intrinsic membership of the EU is to the UK's prosperity, peace and reputation. Brexit just seems NUTS 🤷‍♀️.
