https://t.co/VlDcQcaUKC…Robin's presentation from #nhshackday in Cardiff. We could do a lot more with guidelines in the emergency setting, not just their presentation in a web-friendly format but perhaps with the structure e.g. using GDL as the base format #openehr
Great weekend in Cardiff at #nhshackday, catching up with some old friends and meeting a few new. We were on easy street from about 4pm on Saturday, converting a paeds resus app from MS Powerpoint to React, using markdown source files. https://t.co/juRBzosBpD
We've posted the draft programme for our ASM on 26-June 2023 in Glasgow. This year's theme is "Digital Care Records in Anaesthesia - Past, Present and Future"

A CEO, programme director and CCIO walk into a bar.
The barman asks “Why are you here?”
The CEO replies “We’re here to decide which is the perfect EPR for my hospital”
The programme director adds “And we’ll agree a flawless deployment plan”
The CCIO asks “Can I start a tab?”
@willtube4food I gave my former employer some links to security research showing that forcing users to rotate their credentials has a negative impact on both UX and security. Needless to say, it went unanswered.
@BankofScotland Sure, I'm putting:

I'm no expert, but I reckon your mortages Home Help site is down.
I was reminded of this quote when reading an article about HL7-FHIR vs OpenEHR for persistence of healthcare data. If your application currently stores your data in a closed/proprietary format, it's worth thinking about migrating it to an open one.
@dannyjnwong@jplomas Would love to bump the Logbook JSON schema project that we started at #gashack back up the agenda. Would not be a huge challenge to produce a small demo app on an open system like #MongoDB.

@blu3id It would be good to see some proper peer-reviewed research on the impact of RPA on healthcare service delivery. Trouble is, getting a control group is nigh impossible, given the mixed economy of admin systems in the NHS. Apples & Pears etc...
@jplomas@hgallie1 @DaveCha22432000 @doctimcook Looking at device data alone, there is a debate to be had around granularity i.e. how much is surfaced by the application. A digital record can be incredibly detailed at the storage layer, but has to be simple at the application layer, otherwise it's just distracting.
So, to re-cap. When a malicious actor uses the Azure platform to launch a brute force attack on a third party, the platform provider is absolved of any all responsibility. Okay, got it 😡🤬
@jplomas@doctimcook Good to see @ukfci working with NHSE/I to promote open standards in healthcare. Having a detailed #HL7#FHIR implementation guide for anaesthesia is a crucial first step toward opening the market for #aims and getting better solutions to our problems.

Both the Times and the Salisbury Journal have published obituaries for the late Alastair Lack, founder member of SCATA. https://t.co/axs4HHHSNx

If you're thinking about flying via Heathrow any time soon, my advice is to think again. Landing successfully is no guarantee that you'll get into terminal 5. Got stuck off the stand for almost half an hour on Saturday as there were no lights on at the gate.
