For Uganda, this presents an opportunity to reflect on how we position ourselves within the region. We may have assets, however we haven't strengthened them to a level of international visibility.
Mmmh, I wonder WHY.
Rwanda’s reported Formula 1 deal is more than a motorsport story. It raises an important question about how African countries can use global sporting events to attract investment and tourism.
Formula One will return to the African continent for the first time since 1993 following a historic agreement reached between the government of Rwanda and the motorsport company. The initial agreement spans 10 years, from 2031 to 2041. Rwanda will become the third African country to host a Formula One race, following Morocco and South Africa.

A question for the young people interested in international affairs.
What is the biggest barrier to getting started in diplomacy? Access to opportunities, professional networks, experience or something else?
I'd love to hear your perspectives.
Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.
Love shouldn’t hurt. Love shouldn’t harm. Love shouldn’t leave scars.
Love should feel safe, respectful, and kind. As I continue using my voice to advocate against gender-based and domestic violence, my message remains simple: abuse has no place in love.
Choose respect. Choose safety. Choose love that protects.

When medically necessary, caesarean sections can make the difference between life and death for mothers and babies.
But even though caesarean sections have become very safe in many parts of the world, they remain complex medical interventions, with risks and a recovery that can be challenging.
Miss World #Uganda Muhoza Trivia Elle’s “Layers of Life” gown tells that story in a unique and powerful way: raising awareness of the realities of caesarean section childbirth while celebrating the strength of mothers who have experienced it.
