I am soldier serving currently serving in a military unit in maidugri. I was deployed since 14th April 2024 alongside other soldier after our 3 months intensive training in military training schools.

I'm married,I got married in 2022,so my marriage was less than 2 years before deployed in maidugri military operation know as operation Hadin Kai. It was indeed a trying moment for me and my newly wedded wife but we have no choice.

Army stated that soldier has to spent minimum of 2 years in operation before rotation even when they knew that some of these soldier are married. They will give you a 14 days pass which comes once in a year in some unit to go and see your family and return to war front.

Unfortunately,army did not keep to their initial word of 2 year minimum,many has spent more than 3 year in the theatre without rotation. When finally they want to rotate,they will pinch some few numbers of soldier and not all the soldier that due for rotation.

This has caused an untold hardship to soldiers and families,it has damaged many healthy relationships of soldiers, making some soldier's wife to start misbehaving in the various baracks.

As you may be aware,soldiers are not meant to voice out their pains or protest in any way,it is you civil populace are their voice of the voiceless. Help me amplify this menace in the military to get to the appropriate authority,this and more are the reasons soldiers are leaving the job,it would have been better for a soldier to spend 1 year in the theatre and return to barack and go back again after 2 years than long 2 year and still counting which has damaged our families.
