Yes, condensation NOT buffering intracellular osmolarity is obvious in experiments with giant vesicles #artificialcells. See e.g. https://t.co/TgAAb6G8du where changes in osmolarity outside a vesicle triggers condensation inside simply because the membrane is permeable to water.
