@krutu8@SIDPharm@accpinfdprn We also have our treatment guideline document linked in both the culture result as well as the full BCID result. You do have to scroll a bit to get here, so you'd need to know it's there. It's after "Lab Information" and before "Collection Information" in our result report:
@krutu8@SIDPharm@accpinfdprn In our culture results, we try to simplify what we show, yet still provide helpful (I hope!) information. Here are a few examples - if no resistance genes, we say what we tested for. If something is positive, we only list this gene/interpretation
Today we took two actions to expand the use of remdesivir to certain non-hospitalized adults & pediatric patients for the treatment of mild-to-moderate #COVID19 in places such as skilled nursing facilities, home healthcare settings & outpatient facilities. https://t.co/wXUHVxWRVl
@theIDPharmD We have one right now too! Multiple debridements over last 3 months Unfortunately macrolide resistant...in the home stretch of acquiring clofazamine via IND 😫🤞
@ASP_Chat@IDstewardship@BRxAD@CUIDRX@KisgenUF@DrJRMarcelin@MK_IDpharm @TristanTimbrook Cascade reporting susceptibilities! Our study was small but really encouraging. Anecdotally have seen continued de-escalation because many prescribers are hesitant to use agents that are not reported. Low resource, high yield intervention! https://t.co/LQBqQFmYbr
People fully vaccinated against #COVID19 can travel within the United States and do not need COVID-19 testing or post-travel self-quarantine as long as they continue to take precautions while traveling: #WearAMask, avoid crowds, and wash hands frequently. https://t.co/9uzBuFZyWE

@JGPharmD We've been seeing steadily increasing resistance rates for the past few years in MRSA, but interestingly not in MSSA. Easy to miss on your antibiogram if you lump all S. aureus together, but when you split out MRSA vs MSSA, there's been a clear trend with MRSA
@JGPharmD @remap_cap I made a similar slide for a meeting yesterday. Adding a column for steroid use across all studies helps in placing study results in context of current SOC. Still struggling a bit to understand implications of Bayesian stats vs conventional, but overall looks 👌 for this group
