@sidecarcap Understanding what they bought helps answer the questions you asked. For example, if you don't understand the business, how do you understand if it fits with management's strategy? I also don't think both lines of thought are mutually exclusive. The best path is a mix of both.

@bizalmanac I agree the 20x+ deals aren’t great. But the model they employ works long term. Organic will probably end up higher than the current 6%. Buybacks at these levels are low teens returns I think. All in, I think you get low DD TR over few years. Not bad to me.
