@tubridywhiskey The technical file also speaks about providence as well... like whiskey vs Irish Whiskey, only Irish Poitin can be made in Ireland. Poitin can be made anywhere, as it was in America and Australia by immigrants & is again by some of their decendants, including me.

@fvhistory I think that was an American thing. However most American moonshiners were old poitin-makers before they came over. Like much else that's grand over here, it came with the Irish (yes, I'm biased since that includes my family!).
