With great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Matthew Mescher. Matt retired in 2015 but continued to be a valued member of CFI. He will be sorely missed & fondly remembered for his leadership & contributions to science. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
I tell people who ask about my job structure, work hours etc that the hardest thing about the academic science gig as a *job* is that your work is never done. You could always be working, doing something that would materially advance your work.
