As a former @RwandaNCDA volunteer, I’ve been involved in Car Free Day screenings, data analysis, and NCD awareness.
This video is a Poem for showing my passion for health advocacy and community impact. Let’s keep fighting NCDs together! 💪🏿🌍

As legal frameworks evolve, their impact relies heavily on the capacity of the practitioners to apply them effectively, for all.
Over three days, we are convening more than 50 lawyers and intern advocates to explore how collaboration can strengthen gender-sensitive legal practice and leverage strategic litigation to protect the rights of sexual and gender diverse communities in Rwanda.
Through critical engagement with domestic and international legal frameworks, participants will listen to lived experiences, to confront the barriers these communities face and sharpen their ethical and effective advocacy strategies.
Yesterday in Kamembe Sector, Rusizi District, RWAMREC leadership, led by the Executive Director, and District officials officially launched the Couples Journey of Transformation (JOT) Training as part of the #KATAZA program. The Executive Director emphasized promoting positive masculinities and engaging men as allies in women’s economic empowerment as a key pathway to building peaceful, resilient, and inclusive families and communities.
Pleased to share that this week our capacity-building workshops continue in @Muhangadis and @MusanzeDistrict, where we are working with law enforcement, detention center officials, local leaders, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to strengthen collective approaches to preventing gender-based violence and promoting human rights.
Participants engaged in discussions, case studies, and scenario-based exercises to share experiences from their own work, reflect on challenges and explore effective approaches.
The sessions also covered relevant laws and policies, the GBV law that is currently under review, protections for vulnerable groups, and emphasized strategies for creating human rights based approaches.
