This is in line with the idea that disabled people needing what they need to get through the day is just “special treatment.”

Chadwick Boseman needed these accommodations and health services to do the work. He didn’t “overcome” anything, he lived with it right in front of them.

Hello Friends! Disability accommodations have been an issue that has remained unspoken for many years at the University of Oklahoma. It seems that all we require as an institution from our faculty is to add the DRC number and location on the syllabus.

To those students that have reached out to the DRC, what was your experience? Was this enough? It shouldn't be. OU is VERY behind in actualizing the resources they provide. Disability issues NEED to be a topic of discussion on our campus!
