For ten years, the only reliable way to learn whether your token was a security was to get sued. On August 18 the SEC proposed crypto's first rulebook. But a rule is not a law. Read our breakdown, then tell the Senate to finish the job on September 15. https://t.co/PbZksC2Wq2
For a decade, the only reliable way to find out whether your token was a security was to end up in court.
On August 18, that started to change. The @SECGov proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, its first rulemaking ever written specifically for digital assets. 🧵
The proposal also preempts state registration so builders face one federal rulebook instead of fifty, and it leaves the antifraud provisions completely intact.
Digital payments are becoming the default way value moves, and the pace of that shift is outrunning most legacy infrastructure. 🌐
Onchain settlement removes the intermediaries and delays that made cross border transfers slow and costly for decades. Networks that stay available, costs that stay predictable, and access that does not depend on geography.
That is what the next generation of financial activity will be built on. Good to see @trondao continuing to push this forward.
400 million accounts. One network built for what’s next. 🌐
As #TRON continues to grow, we’re focused on expanding access, strengthening infrastructure, and building for the next generation of onchain activity. 🔻

DSA announced the completion of its inaugural Digital Asset Case Study Course at @SAES.
Developed in collaboration with Professor Charles C.Y. Wang from @HarvardHBS, and Giveback Backpack, the four-session program introduced high school students to real world questions at the intersection of technology, markets, governance, and public policy.
The program concluded on Saturday, August 22, with a case study class on @AxieInfinity and @SkyMavisHQ co-founder @Jihoz_Axie.
Students examined the company’s business model and evolution while considering broader questions surrounding digital ownership, leadership, and the challenges confronting businesses operating at the frontier of Web3.

Global Watch 🇭🇰 @StanChart has become the first bank to distribute a regulated Hong Kong dollar stablecoin.
The move is significant for Hong Kong and the broader APAC financial market, where regulators and financial institutions are increasingly building regulated pathways for digital assets.
This shows growing institutional confidence in Hong Kong’s role as a hub for regulated onchain finance, and highlights how Asia is moving to integrate blockchain into mainstream financial infrastructure.

We are deeply grateful to Professor Wang for sharing his time, expertise, and vision with our students, and to GiveBack Backpack and St. Andrews Episcopal School for helping make this program possible! 👏
Over four sessions, students explored the dynamics of business, digital assets, capital markets, trust, leadership, and the future of business in a Web3 world.
Through case studies examining @AlibabaGroup, @coinbase, @WellsFargo, and @AxieInfinity, students were challenged to analyze complex decisions, debate different perspectives, and scrutinize their own thinking.
Our final session focused on Axie Infinity and featured Co-Founder @Jihoz_Axie, giving students the opportunity to evaluate one of the most recognizable companies at the intersection of gaming and Web3.
We're excited to be part of the conversation at the @DigitalChamber's Convergence Forum this September in New York!
DSA's Managing Director @AdrianWall8395 will be moderating 'The Infrastructure Layer' panel, and share insights on the shifting digital asset policy landscape and what's ahead for digital finance.
See you there!
🇺🇸 The @USOCC is targeting November to finalize its Genius Act stablecoin rules, with the goal of beginning to process issuer applications in 2027.
The rules will help define the OCC’s oversight of stablecoin issuers, including capital and liquidity requirements designed to support risk management.
The GENIUS Act established the framework. The next step is putting it into practice. More from @TheBlockCo:
