It’s crazy to think that politicians impose a retirement age on government employees, and yet themselves never retire from politics.
Young people should vote for younger representatives who have a skin-in-the-game for our country’s future.
@multiplanet1 Ironic? The most anti-social kid ends up being the most socially influencial person in the world. @elonmusk are you trying to balance out the anti-social childhood with money? 😂😂
Best time to buy these companies for the next 5-10years. That's the pitch/horizon for MFs anyways.
These platforms have been heavily investing in infra getting built for their own consumption(exception is Nvidia) and as a result the players who rallied last year made money, eventually D2C makes up by making us pay for their upfront costs.
Imagine telling someone in 1999…
The year is 2026.
The President is Donald Trump in his second non consecutive term.
The richest man in the world is PayPal cofounder Elon Musk… but not because of fintech or Paypal. Because of rockets, electric cars, AI, satellites, brain chips and something called “Boring Company”.
Apple is worth trillions but its main business isn’t computers… its selling glass rectangles everyone stares at for 9 hours a day.
People don’t watch TV. They watch teenagers explain geopolitics, finance, and relationship advice in ~60 second videos.
The biggest taxi company owns no taxis.
The biggest hotel company owns no hotels.
The most powerful media companies are social networks where everyone argues with strangers for free.
Kids are making millions filming themselves playing video games.
AI Robots write emails, code, legal memos, songs, essays, and breakup texts.
The internet is mostly bots arguing with humans who are trying to prove they aren’t bots.
You can summon a car, groceries, a doctor, a date, a private jet, or a dog walker from your phone.
People pay real money for invisible currencies, digital monkeys, AI girlfriends and pictures that disappear after 24 hours.
The richest companies in the world don’t sell oil, steel, or cars. They sell attention, compute, data, and addiction.
And somehow, after all of that everyone is still using Excel.
You're thinking like a payments network founder which you are who wants to make a business just out of that.
This is a social network platform. My take is that Elon is thinking of a global payment network like UPI is for India. He will soon start investing and peer-to-peer lending on the back of Xcoin probably.
@viraj_sheth I used to think it's Ranveer who's a complete lost cause, but I guess it's some drug these guys are doing together which makes people brain-minimiser.
Hence ppfas flexi cap is what it is - Best indian companies, right cap allocation as per macro trends, International equity, ReITs & it's cash allocation.
Flexicap is the best MF category to invest in and there is no better flexicap fund than ppfas to invest in.
You either should have a great advsior or should simply invest in ppfas felxi cap and relax.
This really sounds like a blind bullish statement which these big AMC fund managers make to justify and maintain confidence for retail investors (I'm aware Prashant Jain quit HDFC)
I really don't think macro indicators are this simply correlated.
Energy along with AI is going to disrupt the key advantage we had - cheap labour. Still currently the biggest positive sign for us is GCCs opening in India again because of cheap labour(IT professional - premium labour segment for us but still cheap for developing countries and big tech, pharma & finance giants) as rupee keeps depreciating.
Eg: Japan has started to replace the shortfall of hard/young labour with AI led machines and solar.
India needs to start realising that our strength is internal consumption and start building for that, especially by growing Tier-II and focusing on quality manufacturing at competitive prices that we can consume.
I am bullish on India but I think a lot needs to change from micro economics POV which will impact how we think about investing in India as the world is going through de-globalisation.
Hiring always was the most important work in any organisation, will become even more critical when you need to hire independent, self driven and high agency people (which I think are really less in India).
Do you think such hiring is possible till the time we see HR's as rangoli makers?
Jeff Bezos reveals the moment an early Amazon executive told him he had enough ideas to destroy Amazon:
"Early in Amazon's history, Jeff Wilke came to me one day and said, Jeff, you have enough ideas to destroy Amazon. You have enough ideas per minute, per day, per week to destroy Amazon."
"I was like, what do you mean?"
"He said, you have to release the work at the right rate that the organization can accept it."
"Every time I released an idea, I was creating a backlog, a queue, work in process. It was just stacking up, it was adding no value. In fact, it was creating distraction."
"So I started prioritizing the ideas better, keeping lists of them, keeping them to myself until the organization was ready for the ideas."
@jaynitx I used to think right person for the right work is the most important job of a founder; but I guess this could be slightly more elementary in nature for a founder to build momentum in the organisation.
