Wealth in astrology is far deeper than just the 2nd house.

Generally, for wealth and money, we look at the 2nd house, 11th house, and lagna. But beyond that, there are several combinations which can decide the wealth factor of your chart.

There is a term called dhan yoga, which means how your chart is favourable to gain money. Primarily, when your 11th lord and 2nd lord make any connection, it means they are in each other’s houses, sitting together in the 2nd or 11th house, or in any other house.

But where they both join hands matters a lot. The quality of the house and what energy the house is having matters. If the same is happening in the 5th house or the same combination is happening in the 6th house, it matters.

Now, to get the fruits of any yoga which is happening in your chart, lagna and lagna lord should be strong. So, the connection of the lagna lord to this combination or placement of the lagna lord in the 2nd or 11th house is considered as dhan yoga as well.

Now, apart from dhan yoga, when it comes to judging the 2nd house, it becomes crucial. Any affliction to the 2nd house is basically going to take away the strength of this yoga. For example, 2nd lord in 11th and 6th lord in 2nd. Now, when the 2nd lord sits in the 11th, it creates dhan yoga, but when the 6th lord sits in the 2nd, it creates hindrances to that yoga.

Now, to go beyond a certain level in regard to wealth, it comes from the 8th house. So, positive involvement of the 8th house enhances it and gives the power to become ultra rich. If any person is getting money beyond a certain level, it is not possible without the 8th house.

Now, the natural significator of wealth is Jupiter, so the placement of Jupiter from the 2nd lord, 11th lord, or from the 2nd house and 11th house becomes crucial.

Now, these are very basic parameters. One parameter is bhavabala, which is how much strength these two houses, the 2nd and 11th, are having.

These are a few basic things which can be checked in the D1 chart, but repetition in divisional charts makes any yoga strong. So, without confirming it from divisional charts, you cannot be sure.

The quantitative factor of dhan yoga involves many other factors, and you need a lot of practice to judge the net worth of a person through a chart. But yes, with a lot of practice, you can judge the approximate value.
