Yeah I knew it counted on the calendar as such just didn’t know how it would affect the risk settings.
Wish there was a way for scaling into positions for only to count as one trade in risk settings. Maybe like just go off the first micro bought and sold? I’m sure it’s not that easy lol
Just don’t trust myself as a trader yet to hard stop taking 2-3 loses in a row.
If I set my trade limit to 4 on the @Topstep risk settings and use 4 micros in one trade will that count as all my trades for the day?
I need to use it but scared it’s going to lock me out after one trade scaling into micros. If it does is there anyway we could get a filter or something on that?
@MichaelPatak@dotjosh
@QewteeTrades@Topstep Ahhh that makes sense. I usually base my stop off a risk amount.
I will buy one micro/set my stop and then scale into my position until I hit my risk amount. Might just have to have a set limit then.
DLL on the $100k @Topstep combine.
Accidentally bought this dumbass DLL combine man. I’m all for a DLL on funded but FUCK a DLL on a combine lmao With this price action my shit prolly would of been blown anyway lol
Passed a 50k combine in Asia session last night tho. Will work on this combine next week!

My current trading is trying to catch the big move while taking paper cut after paper cut.
Now I will say I usually always do catch the big move but not before I take so many paper cuts that the big move just brings me a back to breakeven.
I need to work on not taking as many paper cuts before getting in the right trade. Next week I will be working on taking the A+ setups only. The paper cuts are the B and C setups that I take because I’m scared of missing that A+
With that being said I need to have clear differentiators that classify my A to B setups. Will work on those this weekend.

Took some nice setups on the Asia session tonight with some @Topstep combines.
Passed one and got some nice gains on the 100k. Will be looking to pass it in the NY session unless price action is just totally awful.

This is what I would like to see from $NQ through tonight and tomorrow.
Since today was so volatile and how price action has been moving we might just range from $30,300 to $30000 but I would love to see us pull back to $30000 and then make our way to $35000 and that’s what I will be trading for.

Took the day off today. I lost my @Topstep XFAs this week. Four weeks on those accounts, zero payouts.
I got in my own head this week. Heading into week 5 with nothing to show on the same accounts, the “are we moving too slow?” started to creep in.
I kept seeing these huge payout certificates online and thinking that should be me. No reason I’ve held three accounts this long with zero payouts, right?
So I sized up. Traded Asia. Ignored my DLL. And what do you know, a full month of discipline gone in a couple sessions.
Here’s the part I missed in the moment: market conditions were awful. Plenty of traders would have killed for a break-even month with the way things have been moving. But I wasn’t measuring myself against them. I was measuring myself against the people posting their best months. That’s the trap.
Stop comparing your process to anyone else’s. It never ends well.

People are posting $50k in payouts, but their net profit isn’t anywhere close.
If everyone showed their spend alongside their payouts, the whole narrative of this prop space would flip overnight. It would go from “how is he doing this?” to “well no shit, anyone can do that with $30k in evals”
I get the ROI game, and honestly, if you’ve got the capital, it’s a pretty smart play. But when you only show the payout and never the spend, this is what you get: people thinking you netted $50k, when really you dropped $30k in eval fees to get there.
It’s not that hard to full-port five accounts, spend $30k chasing evals, and eventually catch a 5-10k day. The payout looks incredible in a screenshot. The receipts tell a different story.
Made a post about day traders making 50 k a month and how I’m not there yet and the overwhelming majority of responses were saying it’s all fake it’s all lies etc so my follow up question is if it’s all fake and larp why we all so convinced it will be us?
There’s definitely real traders in this space but 90% of these gurus would get demolished in a live account.
Like I said I respect the game. It’s a buisness at the end of the day and in buisness you have to spend money to make money.
I just don’t like the non transparency side of it. It even affects my trading something seeing the huge payouts lol
