It matters who is driving that change. Someone like a Cory Barlog or Hideo Kojima, I trust their judgement. They see big picture & think things through.

@OsheaJacksonJr Respect! 🙏 Brought up some solid examples. Abby/Ellie...both females but Abby "looked" the part - like she could handle herself. The Snake/Raiden switch up had me really concerned at first, but MGS2 turned out great! I get the backlash over Faye but ima give it a chance & see!

@RinoTheBouncer I really feel like ppl are prematurely judging Phranque. I think he's going to turn into a total badass as the game progresses. No way he just stays a jelly cube that bounced around. I can see some crazy abilities unlocked as we progress. Same w/ Rue.

We have higher brain function but are absolutely still animals at our core. Perfect example: shut down all grocery, convenience stores, & gas stations & watch what happens. Survival instincts kick in.

@BoJoHihn286 @rafadazora @RinoTheBouncer Yes, females mostly play more on mobile. I get your angle & the frustration that comes w/ seeing more male protagonists being replaced w/ female leads. If you were a business & trying to raise earnings, it makes sense to try to appeal to females...but it has to be done right 💯.

If you do not agree, get your coin up, gather some like-minded developer friends, & start your own studio. Then you can make whatever.

The director outright says this realm is heavily tied to magic...which is why Faye will do better in it vs. Kratos who is more brute strength w/ light use of magic. Faye is the opposite but nearly just as powerful but in her own way.

@rafadazora @RinoTheBouncer Good point! Now put yourself in a female's place. The large majority of "heroes" and main characters are still primarily males...always has been. I'm cool with women getting some shine! I have alot of strong women in my family so it's cool to see them represented too!

@RinoTheBouncer @VPKevinButler You should add an "I could care less" option. If the story & gameplay are good then what does it really matter? Kickass females are not new.
Games: Lara Croft, Chun-Li, Seamus Aran, Jill Valentine, Tifa.
Movies: Ripley, Sarah Connor, Trinity, The Bride, etc...the list goes on.
