As creatives/artists, even as we demand better environment/ policies & so on from Govt. We MUST get our act together. Today we don't sit together, work together/support each other, we don't speak in one voice. When ppl are planning to be at the TABLE, we are all over the place.
🇵🇸 🇿🇦 “There is growing global consensus that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. As Palestinians continue to face genocide and famine, we have a duty to act. South Africa has acted in the interest of saving lives by insisting that the International Court of Justice should make a ruling that indeed genocide is being committed in Gaza and that it should stop.
And we stand here to say it must stop.”
@HonJBMuturi We don't like many of Rutos policies, we also don't like hypocrites and political hyenas like you. Why don't you outline your achievements as AG. and CS. Public service instead of running around crying?
@iamkathambi When is our Chairmanship of the Africa climate Summit ending, so that common sense can finally set in and we can stop this endless climate talk and come back to reality?
African nations with oil, gas, and (some coal) energy resources need to get it out of the ground, and power their industries and economies.
We need to stop outsourcing our thinking about Africa’s energy security to the West.
No country has ever developed on renewables. NONE.
@SingoeiAKorir This is how you guess around with our foreign service, thats what has brought us to the kind Ls we take and embarassments we have today. Home by yesterday!
Kenya’s diplomatic corps has been hijacked by political patronage, sidelining seasoned diplomats for party loyalists and campaign rally ushers. Our embassies are now led by individuals whose only qualification is allegiance to the ruling party.
Uganda is represented by a former Deputy Governor of Kisii. Tanzania’s envoy is a Kikuyu farmer from Kitale. Rwanda has a political lackey, while Addis Ababa—home to the African Union—is entrusted to a former District Officer.
Djibouti has a military officer. Somalia, a politician. Pretoria, Windhoek, Luanda, Gaborone, Lusaka—none led by career diplomats. Cairo, Rabat, Abuja, Accra, Abidjan, Dakar—same story.
This isn’t diplomacy. It’s an auction of Kenya’s international standing.
We are paying the price of H.E Ruto's reckless pata potea foreign policy, Contradicting A.U position and fellow African leaders on global issues. Why should it be determined by a few characters at the top who may have been captured by foreign Actors?
Foreign policy should be dictated by the people through public participation, Many of these individuals who decide for the country are captives of foreign states. #Haiti#kot#kot
@Khakni 1. Very true, the media, Hospitality industry among other sectors amplify it to give us pressure so as to benefit from it.
2. It is not recognised under our constitution. Why should we?
@Maina_Poultry We had to fight to expel the imperial colonial regime from our lands, so we identify with the Resistance. We've also had our share of terrorism on our soil, hence the dislike for the genocidal Zionist regime.
@rigathi A peace concert that you went to disrupt artists trying to perform, entertain and make ends meet. Only for you to overshadow the whole thing with your cheap petty murima politics. Shame on you Mzee!
Excellency Sir @rigathi when will Kenyans hear you articulate Government agenda? and not the usual general statements and written speeches please. Concerned citizen.
