Today we honor the memory of our 6 lost teammates, who died on June 4, 2007 while transporting lungs procured for one of our patients. We were forever changed by this event as was the transplant community internationally. Their legacy lives on in every patient we serve today. 💙
Happy October 1st everyone!!
We are grateful to be part of the 6% of Hispanic/Latinx physicians in the US but evidently we have strides left to be made. We need our frontline workers to represent our population in order to properly address the needs of our community!!
CONGRATULATIONS to our new President ELECT, Dr. Luz Maria Rodriguez!!!
This marks a HISTORIC selection as Dr. Rodriguez is the 1st Latino Surgeon to lead SBAS & the 4th woman in our history! We are SO excited for the future of SBAS under her leadership!
