Dear Nigerians,
For many years, Nigeria has possessed some of the most promising deep offshore oil and gas resources in the world, yet several major developments have remained stalled. Oil lies beneath our waters. We have the engineers, businesses and young people capable of doing increasingly sophisticated work in the sector. What has often been missing is the certainty required for investors to commit billions of dollars, over many years, at the scale needed to turn that potential into production, jobs and opportunity for Nigerians.
We cannot afford to leave that opportunity beneath our waters for another decade.
I have therefore signed the Deep Offshore Oil and Gas Projects Incentives (Tax Remission) Order, 2026, to provide clear and predictable terms for a new generation of deep offshore investment in Nigeria.
The framework has the potential to unlock up to $50 billion in investment, beginning with the approximately $10 billion Bonga South West project. For existing deep offshore leases, there is a clear window to reach Final Investment Decision by 31 December 2029 and receive the full standard incentive available under the Order.
There is urgency to this work. Capital moves, and countries compete for it every day. The countries that attract long-term investment are not necessarily those with the greatest natural resources. They are the ones that provide the greatest certainty.
Nigeria must be one of those countries.
This Order marks the tenth major policy directive of my administration targeted specifically at the oil and gas sector. Each has dealt with a constraint holding back investment, production or value creation. Taken together, they represent a deliberate effort to make our oil and gas industry more competitive, attract capital back to Nigeria and ensure that more of the value created from our resources remains here at home.
But attracting investment is only half of my purpose.
I want the work that comes with these projects to come home to Nigeria. I want our engineers involved, our fabrication yards working, our marine and technical service companies securing contracts, and our young people acquiring skills that will remain valuable long after the first barrel is produced.
The Order reflects this priority. For projects accessing its supplementary incentives, activities are to be performed in Nigeria, subject to clearly defined exceptions and Nigerian Content requirements.
My ambition is that we use this new investment cycle to build Nigeria into Africaโs regional hub for deep offshore project execution. We should not only possess the resources. We should increasingly possess the skills, businesses and industrial capacity required to develop them.
When I engaged the Chief Executive Officer of Shell plc, Mr Wael Sawan, I directed my team to look beyond a solution for one company or one project. We needed a framework that could unlock a wider pipeline of investment while protecting Nigeriaโs long-term interests.
That framework is now in place.
Ultimately, I will judge its success by what Nigerians see from it in terms of good jobs, stronger Nigerian businesses, greater production, increased revenues for the Federation and new capabilities built here at home.
Our natural resources must work harder for our people.
That is the purpose of this decision, and we will pursue it with urgency.
Nigeria First.

FOR YOUR URGENT ATTENTION
Dear Mr. Peter Obi @PeterObi
MTN indeed reported a PAT loss of about N400 Billion in 2024, You quoted PBT of N177.8 Billion - a figure consistent with the storm of that season, a season when the bold, radical, and revolutionary reforms of this government were still clearing the debris before laying the foundation.
The same MTN however posted a PAT of N1.11 Trillion in 2025, a magical, consequential, momentous turnaround from major loss to record profit.
Even in 2026, MTN has already reported H1 PAT of whooping N707.5 Billion, which is about 70.6% YoY increase, again, of course, largely on the back of the consistent, decisive, and coordinated economic stewardship of the Tinubu-led government.
But MTN Nigeria is not the only enterprise whose fortunes have responded favorably to Asiwaju's Midas touch - The List, my friends, is endless....
Now, Shall I Begin?
Dangote Cement: 2024 PAT โ N503 Billion. 2025 โ N1.015 Trillion. +102%
Aradel Holdings: 2024 PAT โ N259 Billion. 2025 โ N757 Billion. +192%
Lafarge Africa: 2024 PAT โ N100 Billion. 2025 โ N273 Billion. +173%
Nestlรฉ Nigeria: 2024 PAT (LOSS) โ N165 Billion. 2025 PAT โ N105 Billion. +164%
Bold and revolutionary reforms are, in their infancy, painful - sometimes so painful they appear hopelessly needless. it is the bitter medicine that drives out the sickness - but bitterness on the tongue is precisely why most leaders flee to the sweeter, easier, populist road.
They are not confident the reform will bear fruit before the next campaign harvest, and no man wants to plant a tree he fears he will not live to sit under. They gamble their conscience for their comfort. They trade our collective good for the convenience of the ballot.
But the fellow we have in the Villa is no ordinary leader. He is irrational - gloriously, dangerously irrational. He is the kind of man who stakes his own political life for a harvest he may never personally taste.
Let me stop here for now.
Oh! Lest I forget:
MTN Nigeria by the way, which Peter hurriedly journeyed naked to the market celebrating their loss as a cheap political point against the government, recorded a turnaround of 377.9% between 2024 when you raised the mockery alarm and 2025 when the Tinubu Administration bold reforms finally settled.
Peter was loud when the company bled. Curious, then, that he has gone silent now that every enterprise is belching profit instead.
The season for rejoicing is not the season one chooses for mourning. Yet here we are - the melody has changed, and you have shamelessly misplaced your voice...
Good Afternoon Severally...

Let me post it again just to IRRITATE the demons inside you that's always against ORDINARY NIGERIANS.....
First Lady in this Video said she gave Billions to certain set....
She gave a Billion to another set...
She gave N500 million to another set....
She gave Billions towards NITDA and ICT, people in OAU Ife can confirm this as we speak....
She gave also for people doing Akara Business, Corn Business and the likes....
You people have no issue with money given for ICT, NITDA, Breast Cancer, TB etc...But you have problem with the GRANT money given to ordinary Nigerians selling Akara, Kulikuli, Corn, Tomatoes etc....
What is the offence of ordinary Nigerians that you don't want them to get anything from govt, ARE YOU PEOPLE THAT DEMONIC?
TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI SUSTAIN OPERATIONAL MOMENTUM, RECORD SIGNIFICANT SUCCESSES, DISRUPT TERROR NETWORKS IN NORTH EAST
The Headquarters, Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in conjunction with Operation DESERT SANITY V, has continued to sustain operational momentum across the Theatre, recording significant successes in ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-criminal operations. These include the arrest of terrorists and their collaborators, disruption of logistics supply networks, recovery of arms and ammunition, and consolidation of overall security gains in the North East.
In a series of intelligence-led and surveillance operations across Borno and Yobe States, troops recorded multiple breakthroughs against terrorist logistics networks and criminal elements. At Benisheikh Market, troops of OPHK, in conjunction with the Forest Guards, arrested a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP logistics supplier, Girema Aliko (40 years), who had been on the watchlist. The suspect was intercepted while attempting to convey 30 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in a vehicle. During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to supplying fuel and other logistics to terrorist elements. Similarly, troops of 7 Division Provost Group, under OPHK, while on surveillance duty within Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, arrested another suspected terrorist logistics supplier and informant, Mohammed Bulama (25 years), at Ngawom, Muna Garage. Preliminary investigation confirmed his links with terrorist elements, and the suspect has indicated willingness to provide further intelligence to aid ongoing operations. In a related development, troops also apprehended an absconded soldier, Private Umar Bema of 50 Task Force Battalion, who deserted his unit with his personal weapon. The suspect was arrested within Maiduguri, and preliminary findings revealed his involvement in criminal activities, including robbery, during the period of absence. His rifle and magazines have been recovered, while he remains in custody for further investigation and necessary military action.
Earlier operations also led to the arrest of a suspected kidnapper and criminal syndicate member in Biu Local Government Area. The suspect confessed to involvement in kidnapping, cattle rustling, and other criminal activities across several locations, while also revealing links between criminal networks and terrorist elements through the use of weapons recovered from neutralised insurgents. Additionally, troops of OPHK arrested another suspected terrorist logistics supplier in Gubio axis while transporting large quantities of food items intended for Boko Haram/ISWAP elements, further disrupting supply chains sustaining terrorist activities.
In Adamawa State, troops of OPHK in conjunction with local hunters arrested two suspected ISWAP members who confessed to participating in attacks and abductions in parts of Borno and Adamawa States. Troops also recorded progress in ongoing disarmament and surrender processes, as a fleeing Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist surrendered with two children in Kukawa axis due to sustained military pressure. Furthermore, troops of OPHK conducted offensive operations in Damboa axis, where several terrorist enclaves were discovered deserted. Recovered during the operation were rocket-propelled grenade bombs and PKT ammunition, further degrading terrorist combat capability. In line with ongoing stabilisation efforts and respect for due process, troops handed over 13 detainees to appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
