@Firework_Blade7 Did you really just disregard the fact that I mentioned a completed play log? You can't complete the play log without doing everything. Everything you mentioned is required to complete a character's play log. Be real.
@Firework_Blade7 My point is if I completed all of the content up until the end of the game, there's nothing that can be missed. There is no legitimate post-game content that unlocks when you beat the story. Those are usually fun in open world games and I would've liked some in Rebirth.
Beyond happy with both statements but I can't help but focus on the 2nd paragraph. A dedicated end-game system beyond what FF7 Remake and Rebirth have provided. Finally. This is what was missing from Rebirth. Give us a bunch more fun things to do and acquire. Multiple hours worth
@DashingDavidYT Right. I'm sure that's what Hamaguchi is talking about. There will be a Hard setting for these 2 options at launch which we've seen from the demo.
@ProfNoctis Unfortunately been this way since Remake. People's headcanons literally ruined the experience of the trilogy for themselves. They set their expectations towards a certain way and when they didn't get what they wanted it turned them into haters. Nobody admits when theyre wrong.
@WellsAtNight@SynthPotato It means people prefer a game like Zelda over the game Grand Theft Auto. The physical vs digital boycotting isn't as big as X makes it out to be for the community. Not to mention the fact that GTA6 will, obviously, outsell OOT. It's logical. Non-gamers even talk about GTA6.
@WellsAtNight@SynthPotato I absolutely support and desire physical releases. My point is, what does the game releasing digitally over physically have anything to do in the debate of Zelda vs GTA. Game for game. Gameplay for gameplay. Story for story. It deviates from the main point of the topic.
@Firework_Blade7 I got the plat. Completed the Hotel and Play Log. Yes I finished the game, don't make assumptions when you don't know. And yes, Revelation is the perfect game for post-game content both as a post-story and DLC. What I'm saying is Rebirth could've had much more for an open world.
@JacquesPaught@DavidJames901 I disagree. I believe video games have improved mechanically over the years and has become superior. I do agree that they should release a literal 1:1 remake to appease the fans of the original systems (like a 1:1 FF7 remake which I'm sure they will release after Revelation).
From what I gather, the Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake is 1:1 to the original with some quality of life improvements added to the game. The fact that a big chunk of the community is hating on the game for such small reasons is so absurd to me. Instead of supporting this game- (1/2)
@Firework_Blade7 Again, "missing" in terms of wanting more from a product does not equal that the product is incomplete. Playing Remake and Rebirth was satisfying as a game completely. But if I had a preference to an open world game like Rebirth, I'd add more content after you complete the story.
@hawkaydan@RAWARPG@KindaFunnyVids@ZeDoctorBlur@Marionete04 It's X's algorithm. Your posts show that your comments generate more replies than likes in their program. This translates to more people disagreeing with your statements than agreeing. Usually flagging the algorithm that you're baiting or being deceptive due to the engagement.
@JacquesPaught@DavidJames901 Mainly because the systems in place 30 years ago are outdated. Some people enjoy going back and replaying the classics (myself included) but most people don't want to go through the stiffness older systems and mechanics. And it's the majority of the market who wants a modern take
@__Irreversible I agree. Again I'm mainly talking about creating a more comfortable gameplay experience with more content to complete. Versus the original which was very linear as you mentioned. It's refreshing to see story content fleshed out to feel better, and more content like side quests.
@bit_reactor If you look at the menu in the new demo of Chapter 1, there are 2 difficulty settings. One is overall gameplay which can he set to hard. The other is enemies specifically. So you can change not only enemy difficulty, but mechanics too. And swap to what you're comfortable with. ๐
@JacquesPaught@DavidJames901 A game should be fundamentally a new experience if it's being remade to modern standards (a remaster would be different), in my opinion. Their implementations are very sound from what I see. I shouldn't have to practice stiff camera toggling or being lost on my story objective.
@Firework_Blade7 I never said the games were incomplete. I'm saying as a gameplay experience there wasn't much of anything available after completing the game and side content. There were some in Rebirth but it was also mostly content that could be completed before finishing the story.
@TifaTheMonk "We" are both sides of the shipping community. You can't be so ignorant to think that the Aerith side are the only toxic side of it. The Tifa side has also attacked the voice actors as well. You can argue the scale of the attacks, but it still exists. Both sides have major issues
@__Irreversible Yes I agree with you 100%. For the time in 1998, the game was very innovative and enjoyable. The standards of the gaming audience had changed since then. Even if a chunk of the fan base wants a 1:1 3DS style game, most want something more. Something unique and innovative.
@Jackfox29377486 Everyone has a bias to how the story should unfold. People will disregard great innovation if it means the story is altered. I'm not in that boa. I feel that this story is being expressed in such a unique way that it has me for more invested than if it followed 1:1 from OG.
@HayashiYukiVT@JacquesPaught@DavidJames901 Again, I understand the frustration of the item wheel, but besides that mechanic I feel every other change is QOL and connected to a faithful remake being expanded upon. I wouldn't disqualify this game from being a faithful remake because they added an item wheel to it.
