एक मुसलमान ट्रेन में सफ़र कर रहा है, क्लीन सेव है, पेंट शर्ट पहने हुए है, कपड़ों से मुसलमान नहीं दिखता। कम बोलता है क्योंकि न चाहते हुए भी भाषा में उर्दू के अल्फ़ाज़ आ जाते हैं। घर से फोन आता है लेकिन सलाम न तो करता है न सलाम का ज़वाब देता है। सिर्फ इसलिए कि महज़ अस्सलाम व अलैकुम या वालेकुम अस्सलाम जैसे अल्फ़ाज़ कान में पड़ते ही कई निगाहें उसे ठहर कर देखती हैं। इस देखने में बहुत कुछ छिपा है। अगर आप उर्दू या अरबी नाम वाले नहीं हैं तो इस तकलीफ़ को समझ पाना आपके लिए बहुत मुश्किल है।

यही है आज का हिंदुस्तान जिसके बारे में कभी एक मुसलमान ने कहा था, सारे जहाँ से अच्छा ......!

क्या इस हिन्दुस्तान पर गर्व किया जा सकता है !
