@kimbers133 @jtrebach In vet school they increase your tolerance to botulinum suspect foods, eliminate your gag reflex so that if u do have food u can consume it at any time u are not scrubbed in AND make it possible to convert coffee and sunlight into macro & micronutrients for several days @ a time.

We offer goodRx recs like u do but many clients want/demand/need immediate Rx & we lack the buying & pricing power of online & mega pharmacies. We r one of the few indi clinics in our area too. i’m used to this comment, but it devastated one of our students when her personal physician asked her that question. 😒

I’ve shared before that my mother died when I was 19. She was only 47 and had acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), a blood cancer. I found out after she died that clinical trials for AML treatments enroll very few Black patients.

@DGlaucomflecken @UHC Yep. I have to ARGUE EVERY SINGLE YEAR to get my meds reapproved even though rx’s are the same. Many times I have to request a reviewer be in the relevant specialty as others are unfamiliar with my common meds. 😡😡😡

We had a couch delivered yesterday & one of the delivery guys caught sight of our bookshelf with titles like "When sex isn't good," & "Male Sexual Dysfunction," & my husband exclaimed, "my wife is a urologist!" & the guy looked at him like "yeah sure..." & I was dying.

@OxnardMantalvo @jtrebach Many veterinary teaching hospitals and ER’s still stock it for this reason, it was especially useful in the years we couldn’t get fomepizole or a client was unable to afford the drug, IV ethanol given early saves lives. In my experience animals HATE being drunk.😞🤢

@jtrebach In pet ethylene glycol cases, if we can even find fomepizole,💰 is often prohibitive. Mixed properly w/ PSS, high test ROH can be admin’d IV (Everclear works in a pinch if desperate). Cue liquor store medicinal run. Ask your DVM. U may get a drunken dog story w/ a happy ending.🐾

@jtrebach That’s why you never drink from a dipper’s (chewing tobacco user) beer bottle! F’ing a-hole moved mine, and I grabbed the wrong one back in the day. Granted immediate emesis and no ingestion but GROSS!!! 🤢🤢🤮

@BeschlossDC I was in middle school in D.C. watching the launch with my class. One of our teachers was high on the list to be on that flight. I recall watching in stunned silence when the ship disintegrated and the crew was just gone.🥀
