Cons (in a bigger deanery): Being sent miles away from your support network. Long distance marriage. Financial implications of renting accommodation and its costs, while still contributing at home. Still expected to attend courses etc. that cost++.
@GaslingSarah Sympathies. I’m in a similar position in Wales. Time is flying, and I’m in a lovely dept, but it doesn’t compensate from being away from home and family.
