@Elpida_Vnz@LDC_tweets@LRWEUnit @kamleshkhunti @GilliesClare So disappointed to have missed you! I’d love to catch up if possible as I’m considering some similar research and would be great to get your input?
A new report has found around a third of employers believe an afro-centric hairstyle like braids is inappropriate at work.
The research was carried out among company bosses to mark the 7th anniversary of World Afro Day.
@CiaraDurkan reports.

Disappointing that I have had no reply from any media outlet regarding such widespread outrage @thetimes . With nearly 18,000 signatures it’s not enough to print a few replies, or to bounce around echo chambers. He needs to be made an example of publicly. @LBC@RoshanaMN
❗️THIS❗️from a respected Consultant.
Actually there IS a choice in all of this.
When Consultants say no, it stops. Simple.
Consultants can do as below and refuse to degrade UK medicine any further, and stand up for their trainees.
We all need seniors like these ones ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Incredible show of solidarity demonstrating that we refuse to allow misogyny and sexual abuse to prevail. These behaviours and opinions will not be tolerated any further. We deserve better.

I find his perception of ‘tough’ fascinating. What he really means is STOP being so tough, sit down and shut up, because you’re making our lives as predators increasingly difficult. #peterhilton@Ortho_Cherry@RoshanaMN

@RoshanaMN @DickyShoulder @Ortho_Cherry@OrthopodReg @rosieICM I do agree. In hindsight I could have worded differently, didn’t expect so much traction. My frustration was that it was published unchallenged thereby coming across as endorsement of such opinion. Reassuring to know challenges will be published 🤞🏼
@rcgp@AlMcQuillan @KamilaRCGP Is this just an automated reply you’ve set up? Because it is exceptionally insensitive, completely inappropriate, and simply demonstrates how poorly thought through and planned this decision was.
@rcgp And yet instead of supporting GP trainees you take them for granted, wasting months of precious time and energy (and £££ - much on YOUR courses) spent on RCA cases only to be told 3 days before application that we can’t apply!!! No wonder we’re all leaving!
@rcgp@AshkaDesai High demand isn’t the fault of the trainees - rcgp know how many trainees there are and so needs to create additional examination windows, not discriminate against other trainees
