"In my 37 years in America, I've never experienced the amount of hatred and racism that I did in those five days in captivity." Chris Smalls, former Amazon Labor Union President, was one of hundreds of activists detained by Israel in 2025.
“Children are paying an intolerable price for escalating militarised operations and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Between January 2025 and today, at least one Palestinian child has been killed, on average, every week.
That is, 70 Palestinian children killed in this timeframe. Ninety-three per cent of these were killed by Israeli forces.” - @1james_elder, UNICEF Spokesperson

As you read about the sexual abuse of Palestinians in Israeli prisons, it is worth noting that the Israeli government has denied the International Red Cross access to its prisons since 2023 and only recently, due to legal efforts through Israel's Supreme Court, has the Israeli govt agreed to allow the Red Cross into the facilities, surely after they have time to clean up, but it still REFUSES to let them meet prisoners.
Just like denying journalists access to Gaza, this isn't something you do if you have nothing to hide.
Trump was warned this would happen. He did it anyway.
Now, over 10,000 Veterans lost their homes. 90,000 more are on track for foreclosure. On top of cutting jobs, slashing benefits and throwing our heroes into an unnecessary war.
The most anti-Veteran President in history.
"They were killing me, mom, beating, humiliation. I was dying inside."
The echoes of released Palestinian hostages speaking about what Israeli occupation captivity looks like from the inside: torture, starvation, beatings, and a slow, deliberate erasure of a person until they become, as others have described, nothing but a number on a wall.
We are reminded of these testimonies come as the Israeli Knesset has passed the "Prisoners' Execution Law" on March 30, 2026, placing approximately 10,000 Palestinians still held inside these same facilities under the threat of a death sentence, with a 96% military court conviction rate, no meaningful appeal, and 90 days to execution. Those who made it out are now pleading for those still inside, describing them as tired of the chains of humiliation, tired of the walls of oppression and deprivation. Their final call is direct: save who is left in Sde Teiman and other Israeli torture camps.

🚨 BREAKING | Verified reports document a shocking case in central Gaza where Israeli forces detained and allegedly tortured a toddler to pressure his father during an arrest near Al-Maghazi central Gaza Strip.
The child was released hours later via the Red Cross, while his father remains detained. The case is sparking urgent calls for an international investigation into abuses against Palestinian civilians.
Thinking of this heart-rending anecdote as I look at pictures of the Palestinian infant Israeli soldiers tortured with lit cigarettes.
"They have this sort of protocol, for lack of a better word, of making sure that they terrorize Palestinian children early. They believe that they have to instill fear from a young age, so they grow up fearing Israelis, & fearing Jews in general, & that's how they control them. And so they have all kinds of ways to do that, & a lot of it is recorded. A lot of it is captured in pictures & video, & it's all there for the world to see. And yet we are still scrutinized for the way we react, and even for the things we say. Like, that is the, that's the mind blowing part to me." @susanabulhawa
Israeli settlers have increasingly used violence against Palestinians in a bid to drive them from their homes in the occupied West Bank. But sexual assault appears to be a new weapon in these settlers’ arsenal of intimidation, pointing to a troubling new level of violence. https://t.co/mazveSRx69
Between 2023 and 2025, Israel killed 1,221 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 263 minors. The vast majority were killed by military fire, with 31 shot by settler militias.
Since the beginning of the year, Israel has killed 24 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 18 were shot by Israeli military forces and 6 by settler militias.
Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinian lives continue to be treated as entirely expendable.
Just so that we are clear, Israel drops criminal charges on five Israeli soldiers who were caught on camera sexually assaulting a Palestinian detainee. But Israel will keep kids in prison for decades because they were throwing rocks? Make it make sense 🤦🏽♀️
Establishment: Medicare for All would force Americans to ration healthcare.
Gallup: 39 million Americans are rationing or not taking prescription drugs TODAY because they can't afford high healthcare prices.
Fact: Medicare for All would save $650 billion & 68,000 lives a year.
We’re told there’s not enough money for health care, affordable housing or education.
But somehow there are billions for an illegal & unconstitutional war with Iran.
We need a government that works for all of us — not the military-industrial complex, not Israel, not super PACs.
American social worker calling the health insurance company that denied a $539 inhaler, and a 22 year old died after choosing to pay his rent instead
A doctor prescribed the inhaler but the insurance company wanted him to fail a bunch of pointless conservative treatments before covering the cost of his inhaler
The insurance company was OptumRx, a UnitedHealth Group subsidiary
We need healthcare reform and we need it right now
kinda crazy how everyone says that if we had socialized medicine, it would take 6 months to see a specialist, but i can't get my kid in to see an ENT until july with private insurance in one of the biggest cities in the country.
@Suzierizzo1 ICE is terrible but this is fake news. The claims circulating online that H&R Block employees in Utah shared private client information with ICE appear to be rumors or based on recent social media speculation, not confirmed news reports of a specific incident.
