If you follow me cause you like Doctor Who, you probably recognise this fella. You may even own one of @ClaytonHickman’s lovely t-shirts.
But why on earth is an elephant VETOED? Well, the other day I think I stumbled across the answer…
@Prof_Quiteamess@batmanmarch As someone who grew up with NuWho, I find that fascinating. As soon as I learnt about the old show I never questioned it was one and the same. Did not even Sarah Jane in School Reunion convince people?
@georgebernhard@MikeyCycling Absolutely this! The book explores some of the ridiculous battles they have to play to get anything done. Meanwhile National Highways have huge budgets and the power to complete compulsory land purchase orders. Certainly I agree with you Mikey, there needs to be change here.
@josh_snares I think for me it was the free DVDs that were given away with The Sun. They included the first episodes of Faceless Ones, Spearhead, Robots of Death, Earthshock and, for some reason I couldn't understand, the second episode of Daleks' Master Plan.
@drwhopodcasters Sounds like it might end up being a bit cheaper with some Delay Repay...
But yes, it's just wrong how expensive it is to travel by train 😞
@Spindrift_UK @Nathan_A_RF@BerylBikes@hubcycleworks@SotonCycling@SouthamptonCC Yep. No idea why it is. Only guess is there's a tiny stretch of shared use path connecting Garlton and Bridge Road and maybe there was a plan to make more of the paths around there shared use.
Or more likely, it was a case of "that will do".
@Doctors_Beard Fantastic. Thank you very much. It's been a little while since I've done my usual search through the BNA so I'll have to see what else has been added recently.
@CrocmanSnappy Looking great! I've got to ask: can you say anything about the approach taken to restoring the NTSC episodes for Blu-ray? Really excited to see what's been done.
... and they would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids!
Has this never been picked up before? I don't recall seeing it mentioned elsewhere but I'm amazed it hasn't been spotted in almost 60 years.
Episode 3 of the Doctor Who story The Chase, “Flight Through Eternity” takes our travellers to New York City and the top of the Empire State Building.
Except it doesn’t.
Yes, the interior was a set, but the stock film sequences purport to be the ESB.
