@SheriefFYI That’s great but very rare. I always say to surface: ‘who’ is talking, why is it talking, what was it expecting and what did it find instead for error reporting. gives often enough data to have a valid vector.
@barrowfaustus@TigerBeetleDB Not that easy to keep it under control in such scenarios without some strict rules - it just will grown organically and destroy your tech performance. Big games fail due to badly managed tech performance - takes a lot of effort to hit the targets across all platforms
@barrowfaustus@TigerBeetleDB You can have unsmooth camera/animation interaction due to slow frames even with very high fps. GC can be the cause for that.
panning a RTS cam on a touchscreen with stutter is no fun. GC can stack up quickly in a complex game programmed by many people
@lucasmeijer THAT is the weird choice. Unity could totally hire folks to work on its C# runtime and make it faster, and they don't. At this point I am obligated to plug my il2cpp improver https://t.co/sT0wpbPZ13 but there is so much more that could be done if I had access to il2cpp itself.
We’ve released the official Blender add-on for ZOZO’s Contact Solver, our open-source physics solver developed at ZOZO, Inc. Blender users, please take a look!

If Claude Code keeps being slow like this while I pay $200/mo (and they don't let me pay more)
They will essentially force me to leave to Codex and I don't want to
But it's soooooo slooooooooooooowwwww
This Netflix 2026 perspective on Java's GC is impressive. They say that the full adoption of low-latency GC via ZGC initially raised concerns about CPU resource consumption, but as a result of the rollout, it brought dramatic improvements across the entire system. A similar GC adoption is urgently needed in .NET as well. I want the runtime team to focus on and invest in Satori GC.

for roughly a dollar I got a command line tool that plots CI times as PNG and SVG from scratch via GPT-5.4-mini. I again cannot believe people who say LLMs have no value in software engineering.
@svgmzr@SebAaltonen I guess business folks that travel often between cities in Germany as they often drive faster. So in Winter from Hamburg to Berlin could need 550 to 700 or more depending travel speed - heating and entertainment consumption as well.
I think @antirez ds4.c is important! I wrote down my thoughts on why I built pi-ds4 and why we need to focus our local model efforts stronger than we do currently. https://t.co/61h4JDHTZL
@SebAaltonen what i do: ‘after you completed the milestone, do a “critical audit” and fix all surfaced issues (bugs, open todos, placeholders, non production quality etc)’ but i use claude.
