@philgrovesuk@NewcastleEagle Thanks Phil - was there and strangely got something in my eye at that point! We actually did a kind of testimonial last year which was fantastic, and Iโm sure Paul and Sam will have more planned.
@philgrovesuk@TheLionsRoar25 That would be great! We booked our normal Eagles match night seats for the Italy game and ended up in the midst of the more lively Italian support, so will perhaps move behind the GB bench next time
@gm_stone Im actually in Manchester that day with my son but will keep an eye out for the score. The away end is absolutely massive, at least 5,000 seats plus it is next to the players tunnel! Should be plenty of tickets for City fans
@HoopsFanUK@philgrovesuk I was there - truly awful ref performance, so bad the game finished around 45 minutes later than usual! Free throw for the offensive foul is a new one on me tooโฆ
@theBBFA Then you can start the bottom up work to build a better future. It can be done - there were times when we were laughing stock in sports like cycling across Europe, then we got our act together with funding/structure etc. and we set the standard.
@theBBFA A great start would be to listen to this guy. An absolute credit to basketball in this country and proud to have him as my clubโs coach as well. Probably needs sports minister to intervene and get the factions in British basketball together.
@northumbriana If some investment could be put into this stadium weโd probably have a credible commonwealth games bid in the North East - maybe this is the catalyst?
