“Our main goal is to solve the current security and privacy problems related to private messages on Nostr,” explained Max Hillebrand, founder of Sound Money Solutions, former CEO of zkSNACKs, and the mind behind the @whitenoisechat project, during an interview with Atlas21.

Hillebrand also spoke about the current limitations of private messaging and outlined the vision behind the app, launched together with developer @erskingardner.

⛏️A stroke of luck for a solo miner: solves a block and wins 3.125 BTC

An independent miner managed to solve block 881,423 of the blockchain, claiming the full reward of 3.125 BTC (around $326,000). The event took place during a fundraising campaign for the 256 Foundation, an initiative dedicated to Bitcoin education and mining.

The block was solved using a FutureBit Apollo node, hardware designed to make mining accessible to retail users. Despite the global Bitcoin network's hashrate reaching record levels (over 775 TH/s), the miner succeeded with a computational power of only 992 PH/s.

This marks the second block found by a FutureBit device in just a few months, following the resolution of block 867,760 last October.
