Honoured to be received by His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sherif @alimamaltayeb, in Cairo.
In a world being reshaped by AI and deepening crises, we discussed the need to keep peaceful coexistence, our interfaith compass and shared humanity at the heart of our response.
Grateful for @AlAzhar’s leadership and for His Eminence’s support for the first convening of #AI4HumanDev.

National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) are at the centre of the successful implementation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
As the Government's representatives on the ground, they play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the effective delivery of policies, programmes and projects, ensuring that development interventions reach and positively impact people across all regions of the country.
Kenya has not treated affordable housing as a stand-alone construction programme. We see it as a platform for job creation, industrial development, enterprise growth and market expansion.
Our approach to the programme is anchored on structural economic transformation, with a focus on dignity, productivity, industrialisation, investment, jobs, climate action and urban equity.
This afternoon, I participated in a panel discussion on Housing for Economic Transformation, Urban Equity and Human Dignity at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference in Germany, where I highlighted the progress Kenya has made so far.
Achieving such progress requires political goodwill, legal and institutional clarity, a strong legislative framework through the Affordable Housing Act, domestic resource mobilisation, and active private sector participation.

With H.E. Badr Abdelatty, Foreign Minister of Egypt, we discussed the complex challenges facing the region and Egypt’s important political and humanitarian efforts to help advance lasting peace.
Grateful for Egypt’s steadfast partnership, commitment to multilateralism, and leadership in support of durable solutions.
We are fully cognisant of the challenges that National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) encounter in the discharge of their duties, particularly those related to mobility, which is critical to effective service delivery and the execution of their mandate.
We remain committed to addressing these challenges and reaffirm our unwavering support in ensuring that NGAOs are adequately facilitated to serve wananchi efficiently and effectively across the country.
We are ramping up reforms across various sectors to accelerate development and enhance service delivery to Wananchi.
This morning, I attended a Cabinet meeting chaired by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto at State House, Nairobi, where we approved a raft of reforms and initiatives aimed at fast-tracking the Government's reform agenda.
Joined Cabinet colleagues for today’s full Cabinet Meeting chaired by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto
The far-reaching, transformative outcomes approved today remain vital for anchoring our nation’s broader economic stability and growth.
While these decisions span multiple sectors, a stronger, more resilient macro-economy is the ultimate foundation for a thriving hospitality sector.
As the economic tide rises, we remain keen and steadfast to elevate Kenya's global competitiveness, business confidence, and overall capacity to welcome the world.

I attended a Cabinet meeting at State House, Nairobi, chaired by H.E. President William Ruto, where we approved far-reaching reforms aimed at eliminating deeply entrenched payroll fraud across Government.
The comprehensive whole-of-government payroll clean-up will strengthen accountability, restore integrity to the public wage bill, eliminate ghost workers and other irregularities, and safeguard taxpayers’ money by ensuring public resources are directed towards efficient and effective service delivery through a transparent and a more accountable public service.

The Port of Mombasa has closed a successful cruise season with the arrival of the MS Viking Yidun, the ninth vessel to dock at the port. The season brought more than 6000 cruise tourists to the Kenyan coast.
Operated by Viking Ocean Cruises, the MS Viking Yidun is the first cruise liner from Asia to call at Mombasa, carrying a majority of Chinese visitors.
The ship began its voyage from the Port of Shanghai on June 4 and will visit twenty-seven ports across sixteen countries in Asia and Africa during its itinerary.
The ship arrived with 717 guests and 489 crew members, who will spend their one day stay exploring the city through organized tours, excursions, and game drives.
Kenya Ports Authority Chief Executive Officer, Captain William Ruto, welcomed the vessel at a colorful reception. He said the authority is working closely with other tourism stakeholders to support cruise tourism and strengthen Kenya's position as a top destination.
Following recent investment in a modern cruise terminal, Captain Ruto said the plan is to expand amenities at the facility to ensure guest comfort throughout their Kenyan experience.

Another clear demonstration that President Ruto’s engagements with critical players abroad are not
random but well considered, intentional and designed at advancing the national interest.
