in case you didn't know a trans woman was denied care for cancer in the UK because they refused to put her on either sex segregated ward (mens or womans). she died because of this. 16 days without treatment and she died. this new guidance has killed and will kill trans people
The bourgeoisie of the whole world, which looks complacently upon the wholesale massacre after the battle, is convulsed by horror at the desecration of brick and mortar! - Karl Marx, The Civil War in France
incidentally, this is the moral core of communism as i experience it. there is dignity and interest and complexity in all labour, and even the person sorting coloured glass from clear at the recycling plant deserves the opportunity to live a rich and full life
This week we'd like to share these fantastic photos of our Colne Valley Viaduct 📷👇.
The viaduct is the longest railway bridge in the UK and one of the most significant structures on the HS2 route. Stretching 2.1 miles (3.4 km), it will carry the railway across the Colne Valley Regional Park, connecting London and the Midlands while carefully navigating one of the country’s most environmentally sensitive landscapes.

Distanciel demain. Sentiments distingués. » Cela ne veut rien dire. C’était peut-être hier.
@azlancat yeah but we can't taste water as a survival mechanism. Water having no taste makes us VERY good at detecting impurities in said water. or chlorine, which is why you should buy a BRITA filter in Manchester (from experience)
ay por dios no puedo más con el fetiche del libro artefacto creéis que una enciclopedia desactualizada sigue produciendo cultura??? creéis que tiene aura??? walter benjamin os odiaría
@Arhlzz I'm gonna hate on this from the other direction actually. If you're going to celebrate like this don't buy california champagne, get the real thing. and don't put it in a martini glass, possibly the worst glass for a bubbly chilled wine. if i were french I'd pass away
Very cool process in the video but if you do the thing in the caption you’re a 8th tier ascended treatler. You’re in the car already, pick it up yourself
as a public transit enjoyer im lowkey annoyed that it causes a severe political crisis each time the car chuds have to pay slightly more for their dinosaur juice
i'm slouching in my chair and watching videos on my phone with the brightness all the way up. i'm dehydrated, my skin is dry and i'm abusing advil. my fit is trash too
I feel like the industry vs. nature dialectic is going to stay a problem with no synthesis. a structural maxim that's inviolable as the speed of light. Which is a shame! I love solarpunk! But industry's always probably going to be unnatural even if it's carbon/eco-damage neutral
As much as I want to see solar capacity grow I just don't think stuff like this is gonna happen. They're gonna be industrial scale, highly intensive energy farms. The land below them will probably be dead. But that's better than fossil fuels
